So they have taken the visual aids aka Eagle vision to the next level and integrate it more and more with the core gameplay. And the game is best played with all of these aids. I thoroughly dislike game design such as this. It is just plain lazy.

Didn't finish AC3, and Black Flag due to commitments kept going back but finally gave up. Then got on the Unity bandwagon... and haven't completed it (is it me or Unity is just a tad too difficult). Now got another AC. Might pick this one up. Loved the mechanics and gameplay of Unity, and this one seems to take it even further.

Playing AC4 atm, nearing completion, completed 1 and 3, what can I say, it doesnt make any sense! The AC franchise is pretty clumsy, the gameplay is. Firstly the guards, they are infinite, and they all wanna die, they see me slaying like hundreds of them, and they still coming at me, and they all are bunch of deaf and short sighted people, Im here donning a white robe on top of a tree, and they cant see me, they cant even hear me running behind them or charging at them. Then they have many useless utilities, like in AC3 there was ally system, which was completely unnecessary, and in AC franchise in general the blending mechanism, its pretty useless, most of the time people choose to fight back because its more easy than running away. The story, after AC1, they just try really hard to fit in assassins vs templar on other age, it just wont work, in AC3, its just really bad I dont even know whats it really about, in AC4, its better, but still funny, there's a pirate that knows free running AND knows all assassination techniques by heart, and wear assassins robe because he feels like it.
If u think about it, he is the only guy in that particular robe, that killed thousands of guards, and the guards still take some second to recognize him running towards the bushes. The only thing about AC franchise that worth the fame is the landscape and environment design, its detailed and lively, even the cats have varied coats, the gameplay is just clumsy and hollow.

Sorry just need some space to express the thoughts I had while playing the game.

that's why i did not plan to pre order syndicate...kinda losing interest adi...will get 2nd hand instead

Maybe its because Ubisoft feels the need to produce AC every single year that costs them a proper game, it took them 5-6 games to apply the crouching system, then they decided to ditch the whistle, then they put it back again.
