Hi all,

My friend had an interview for New Product Introduction (NPI) this coming Friday. All the best to him first.

Does anyone knows what is the work scope of NPI? icon_question.gif I am asking on his behalf.

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

[EDITED] Sorry. Wrong typo. It should be NPI.

[EDITED AGAIN] Added More Info from JobStreet.

I applied that day before but failed to get into the second level.

They told that the NPI engineer needs to realize the design from US into a prototype or final product.

Sorry to ask you this question. Hope you don't mind.

Do you know why failed? Any reasons?

Thanks.

Nevermind ... it's OK.

I did share this in the Dell thread.

I was called for a phone interview. They asked me several non-technical questions and at the end of the call, they said if I don't receive a call after a fortnight, I can considered myself not making to the next round. So that's all about it and I didn't receive a single call from them and I also made a call to them myself to ask the status of the phone interview. The HR personnel told me that it's still under consideration.

You're welcome ... hope that helps. biggrin.gif

So your friend passed the phone interview? Is he/she going for a face-to-face interview at Dell plant?

By the way, the NPI engineer position that I applied was based at Bukit Tengah, Seberang Prai plant.

I worked as NPI also last time but with other manufacturing company, hmm very challenging job, many paperwork, and have to work on the product startup...
what I can says, u will work in team involve many depts to make sure the product move to the production line without any problem, hmm u know product mainly come from usa or where is the company come from.. so it involve hardwork and many left this job since its really take ur time..
anyway if u stay with this job 10 years i guarantee manager position will be yours laugh.gif

No phone interview ... this is totally different as mine. Maybe different department.

Not many companies will reimburse on interview candidates' expenditure.

I heard Agilent does reimburse even if you dont get the job. This was before the Agilent-Avago split.
