The thing is i've compared celcom and maxis postpaid at that area that my friend mentioned, celcom had lte while maxis only have gprs. But im not sure whether is it that there's some problem with maxis at that time when I went there. :/ So I wanted to know the feedback from other users and see whether they face the same problem or not.

for 64GB and 128GB? only available on february? wtf is happening with Maxis this time, bought 2 iphone from Maxis, never faced this kind of shortage like this time....

i dunno if its true but it kinda tallies with attw's statement. nvm la, as long buy it before GST imposed. and with our weakening ringgit, prices of iphones might increase soon.

The thing is, when I emailed them to confirm this (that 64GB stock is only coming in February 2015), they categorically deny it and said they can't provide a specific timeline and "are trying very hard" to bring in the phones soonest possible.

I think it's a bunch of b*llsh*t though. Somewhere in the supply chain, with Brightstar now in the picture, something is wrong. Either they stocked too many 16GB ones and need to clear them first or there's some kind of dispute somewhere. I can't buy the "global shortage" excuse when Apple Online Store is delivering in 3 to 5 business days.

Was just in Genting over the weekend, bringing my kid to watch Elmo... maxis only has 3G speeds up there where else Celcom has LTE.

So line coverage really depends on where you live, work and play. Best test all telcos before you finally choose one, especially if you're going to sign a contract.

They expected ppl to buy the 16gb coz much cheaper and it burned them bad i guess. Lousy la...hope maxis gets its stock straight from apple nxt time.

if maxis has stock, im one the the ppl willing to commit to 2yrs contract ivalue2. good money for maxis.. but they screwed up big time. now im tempted to look at other phones like meizu mx4 or oneplus one. hope i don't give in to temptations..haha..

Actually, while waiting, I would consider other phones from maxis (maybe the Sony Z3) but unfortunately they are all a 2 years contract. I don't think it's worth taking a contract that long on an Android phone considering the value halves in a year...

if i'm gonna be contracted, ill opt for the note4. one splendid looking phone.

Ya, it's a pity they don't offer a one year contract on those phones.

Anyways, the other option is to go with a 16GB and upgrade later with the 6S. But that will mean diligent storage space management and discipline for a year. Ha ha.
