QUOTE(K3nnYkl82 @ Jan 22 2015, 10:50 AM) Electronics are basically very simple.. wah, thanks alot for the info bro, now i know wat is DC and AC lioa. HAHA.... First of all Most electronics works with DC power. DC are fix voltage , it can be 5v , 12v, 24v .. it is constant.. the other types is call AC. AC are also called Alternating Current. 240 AC , the voltage is not constant 240 , but instead 240 @ 50Hz means .. it flips from 240 to -240 back to 240 for 50 times each seconds. Now you will start to confuse, as I told you most electronics works with DC however all household comes with 240v AC power, THEN HOW THE HELL MY TV, Laptop, etc works ? simple.. there is a power convertor from AC to DC. Some are external.. like your laptop .. you have the charger, if you flip over to see.. it is 100-240 AC input (some country standards are 110v , japan and US .. ours are 220 - 240v) .. where else the output is 19.5v .. or maybe 10.5v .. depends on model. some of the electronics parts have the power convertor build into the device itself. Most games will know xbox 360 comes with the power brick.. that is what it does. so now back to the video recoder for car.. most car comes with 12v DC .. (some lorries 24v DC) All electronics need a + and - terminal to complete the cycle. Our car.. most of the car .. the body is the NEGATIVE terminal.. power comes from the positive terminal .. and return to the negative terminal .. simple. VIDEO camera does not talk to the car electronics.. what it does is just take power from the vehicle, that is about it. There is TWO TYPES of power line in our car, 1. ALWAYS on (Batt).. connected direct to the battery .. u will have the power all the time even when u switch off the car and lock it. 2. ACC ... only turn on when u turn ur ignition to ACC. you will wan to tap to the ACC part for power. The easiest way, your cigarate lighter port. Now before you start messing up things.. I believe most video cam .. or should i say DASH cam .. comes with USB powered .. USB standard are 5v .. (i believe they gave u a power convertor where by u plug into the cigarate lighter port 12v .. and it will output to 5v to ur dashcam). So the easier way buy a cigarate lighter expansion .. and hide it somewhere.. cucuk masuk .. simple cigarette lighter expansion ah... hmm.. cos i wanna hide the dangling wire actually.. haha.. tot can tap the power from the rain/light sensor. hahaha... possible? Thanks bro! |
