Guys,
Need some help. My car just got hydrolocked. Still assesing the damage. Wanna ask, if we want to upgrade from 4b10 to 4b11, can we use our current block and just change the piston rods and crankshaft??

Tried asking tuna, but all info they gave me was 'ko beli engine dari aku'  lol
*

V Ribbed is the Serpertine Belt?

This one known issue I think. Due to the 2 pullys and 1 tensioner that's made out of plastic.

Solution to replace with metal ones from the 2.0 Hyundai GEMA engine whose bottom end is the same as the 4B series.
*
where to buy in bolehland & how much the metal pulley cost?

Ours is made of hard plastic, unlike some other engine using metal.  But don't know if exact same part as Turbo variant or not. Looks the same physically from pic, need K3 to confirm tongue.gif
Just monitor the belt + pulley periodically to make sure still in good condition, if observe any wear better change it quick.

Couple of weeks ago I noticed my tensioner pulley full of oil stain around the screw area. Don't know where the oil came from, I just wiped it off. rolleyes.gif

will be the same between NA & turbo if sharing same part number

distilled water or coolant would be ideal... the radiator is fairly expensive so i wouldn't want to risk increased corrosion sweat.gif
*
aluminum radiator rite? so no worry about corrosion thumbup.gif

Now I recall my old Iswara had issue. The radiator was fine, but the there was a small hose connecting to part of the engine area, that part was rusted and it broke off, water kept pouring out.

I see Sleed selling coolant RM68. Might get that. Maybe flush the radiator as well, almost 2 years ready.
*
i drained the coolant using butterfly cork behind the driver side foglamp..replaced with new coolant around 3.5L when mileage is 50k km
