ok la, recently I saw those detailing deal then feel like butt itchi wanna buy and plan do it b4 CNY, then actually 80% wanted to go for the deal jor, but luckily I do some survey a bit, seems like a detailing shop @ Bdr Puteri Puchong very famous, many ppl had bad experience lol

Altho I always wash and shine my lala myself, but tot of do 1 time better but at cheaper cost, anyone has any recommendation?  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
please don't.
those cheap deals, you're better off DIY.

those really good ones, easily few hundreds which most will deem it being overpriced.
however do understand that detailing is considered an art and people do pay very ridiculous price for art.
and if there's people willing to pay, no reason for professional detailers to charge less.

last time i did ask for quotation around RM800 included many treatment like nano coating(i actually not so sure tis & tht coating) after saw Quazacolt's work start impress tht works done by him. but i really took time...  sad.gif

newbie need a lot of time while pro can do the same (if not better) with much shorter time.
customers don't like waiting after all.

however even pro also, depend on the work extent, also need few hours at least, and most jobs require 1-2 full days minimum.
ESPECIALLY when it involves coating.

can search on some bad comments on LYN forums...
even my colleagues who did it, all gave bad comments, and very easily kena watermarks.

but supposedly, assuming they work on your car since 8am until 8:30pm, should be good wo...
were you there waiting/observing their work?

how's your sierra glow now?

It's not hard, just that you need to know how to work with the product and proper ways and step to detail a car. In fact it's rewarding to watch ya car paint give out mirror like reflection. * applicable only to black car.

wash , clay, wash, compound or polish, wax and LSP such as bsd.  This will take about 5-7 hours using orbital polisher machine.  For white, grey, silver well just wash it then wax it no need waste time to detail it lol as you won't get the rewarding look like those black car.
*
to correct:

- it can be very hard depend on what kinda results you're expecting.
- mirror reflection not only apply to black car, can be any color. the reflection is from the glossy clear coat after all, not so much the base paint. (the color)
it's just easier to see reflected image on darker color (again, not just black) base paints.

here white car:
http://autodetailer.co/2012/12/just-detail...claren-mp4-12c/

again, it's ultimately managing one's expectation(send aneh polish don't expect show car shine lo, they don't mar the hell out of your car consider blessing ady), how much time(send elsewhere also need to wait ma)/money(even diy you need to buy the products ma)/effort one is willing to put in.

Actually hor, I did my SG because a building near my office was painting new colour, since it is a high rise building, and it was windy at the time they were painting, some of those wet paints blew to my car and I got white paint spots all over my car. Imagine the feeling, only got the car for 2 weeks, suddenly becomes maroon red white sparkles.

If it rains, you could see those watermarks. After 2 weeks, lazy to maintain edi the car, so I don't give a damn already. I go wash at Bangla carwash. Why I did SG? because I have talked to several shops that sells Meguiar Product, they told me impossible to remove the small paint dots. Only SG is willing to do and they did a hell of a job. I am not a detailing guy so as long as they could remove all those paint spots, I will be willing to pay for it.

Yup, waited for 12 freaking hours there with nothing to do but see them wash, dry, apply wax, wash, dry, wax for like 12 times. Then at the last hour only apply those SG coating. Pretty worth it for RM650 back then.

ok la since you needed to get rid of paint fallout.
