If you have a card that gives cashback on groceries I suggest Jaya Grocer tropicana or Jaya Grocer Damansara Perdana. Both near enough.

Reloaded RM200 at Jaya Grocer, Verve Mont Kiara. Used my Mastercard wave (on their CIMB terminal) and no signature required. Very fast and easy.

Is CIMB terminals only the terminal that can accept Mastercard Contactless Cards? Correct me if I am wrong, but Maybank terminals can accept only Visa Paywave Cards.

Last time Jaya grocer used Maybank, and the wave feature didn't work for Mastercard. I'm not sure if there are new developments.

my Watson's VIP card need to replace too. cannot use for payment. it will be rejected. asked Watson's, they will call customers for replacement, while transferring the credit over to new card.

I experienced exactly the same thing today. However, no indication of time frame and they said we will receive SMS and /or email.

I also called TnG Careline for my other cards. They advised.me to go to Hub and replace card FOC. Alternatively, can get a refund of old card balances via cheque or bank transfer if you want to deactivate your old cards.

I am going to try obtaining a refund of my old card soon (I would have gone today but my baby is due any time this week so hard to drive around). Will update once I actually try out myself.

Thanks for this detailed and clear information. Will go to Watsons and get my replacement card.

The info I was told by 1Utama Watsons was similar to your initial (wrong) info - that Watsons will contact us. Seems like they now have updated info.

Yeh I was told the same. They said can credit transfer to new cards issued at the hub at the time of transfer, but if you have a card (new or existing) issued outside the hub, then can only refund. I'm going to bring all my old cards to the hub and get them refunded. Not sure how long it will take.

Wow, thanks! I was given wrong information by the telephone CS then. Going to call this afternoon and ask if I can get a refund over the phone. Have got so many of those old cards given during company events and CC acquisition offers.

Btw, which branch of watsons did you get your new watsons card? I went to 1U and said no stock indefinitely. I also have 2 Watsons cards to upgrade.

Go to the Hub - they will deactivate old card, refund balance to bank account, and issue a new card FOC (but with zero balance).

Currently no. If your card is not expired, you tell them you want to upgrade old card to new card.

I did this last week and there is definitely no fee.

Quick update.

I had an old TNG card and submitted a request for refund (and obtained new TNG free of charge) on 14 Feb.

I received the refund in my bank account today 7 March.

Less than a month. Not bad.

Is this the first time you've done it? Maybe there's a difference between the PLUS terminal and TNG Hub. I've only done it once as a tester, and don't really trust the system. Hope things work out for you soon.

I just applied for a refund of RM600+ at TNG Hub (Nu Sentral) and the quoted time is "within 30 days".

Will track how long it takes and update here.

The amount you reload doesn't affect the waiting time for refunds.
