Hi guys, sorry for the noob question. First time using the E wallet. I have just reloaded RM50 but when I pass through the toll it still deducts from my physical card. Is it not supposed to deduct from the E Wallet? I have already linked the card. Please enlighten me, thanks!

Which highway?

KLIA toll from PJ. I believe it is not covered by PayDirect?
*
PLUS, Elite, NKVE are closed-systems tolls. TNG Digital is still finding a solution for PayDirect - which is straightforward for open road toll systems.

MYKAD brand
what is the difference for closed- system toll and open road toll system?
*
Open: one-off, the amount is predetermined at 1 toll plaza.
Closed: the amount is calculated by the distance of 2 toll plaza.

Besides the dormant issue, I understand each card also have expiry date (wtf)

Can we check the expiry date by registering card in TnG portal, and/or by using kiosks ?
*
Check your TNG card (except IC, co-brand), the expiry date is there.

Why is it so difficult for TnG to provide more info to do reload TnG card using ewallet? Will it eat into their profit? Or they feel no competition cos they own both. Or simply incompetent? Is it CIMB owned and same culture?
*
TNG card (TNG S/B) and TNG wallet (TNG Digital S/B) are from 2 separate entities. Different culture, Malaysia and China.

Touch 'n Go Sdn Bhd (previously known as Rangkaian Segar Sdn Bhd) is now owned by CIMB and PLUS. It was owned by UEM-Renong.

TNG Digital Sdn Bhd is 51% owned by TNG S/B and 49% owned by Ant Financial China (Jack Ma's Alipay China, "Zhi Fu Bao"). TNG Digital is raising USD 150 million "from investors to cement its position in the country’s digital payments industry", so TNG S/B may own <50% soon. Ant Financial China also owns Alipay Malaysia Sdn Bhd a.k.a. Lazada Wallet!

Most likely Enhanced TNG Card @ Lazada can be delivered to Sabah and Sarawak, which TNG wallet App does not allow. I guess the delivery cost will be RM9.50 to Sabah/Sarawak (still not sure RM5/8 shipping voucher can be applied or not).

The enhanced TNG card does not require 1 usage within 12 month, but valid for 7 years. Good for those in Sabah/Sarawak/Singapore/overseas not using TNG card in 365 days. TNG card is useless in Sarawak.

may i know what benefit of this card compare to old ones? besides the easier to reload since have to pay rm10
*
The enhanced TNG card does not have any form of dormancy imposed to it. Hence, you may use it freely throughout the 7 years of the card's lifetime. The card will be inactive upon expiring after 7 years.

---

Old TNG will become dormant if inactive for 12 consecutive months. You can't find a place to use TNG card outside Peninsular Malaysia.

Thank you for the link.
Is NFC card available to buy via tngo ewallet now? Still need to wait? or where to get one?
*
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.fkna9

Please note
You must add your TNG wallet account as one of the payment options at Lazada App. As the purchase must be settled by using TNG Wallet only
Otherwise it is always out of stock.

None of foreign sites accept TNG CARD.
You hardly find a place accept TNG CARD in East Malaysia as well.

This is TNG CARD thread.
Why discuss here?

Should discuss at TNG E-wallet (including TNG Visa which is a sub-product of TNG E-wallet) Thread.

Make sure you use (spend not top up) once within 12 months otherwise the card will be frozen.

TNG NFC Card is more suitable for those not staying at Peninsular Malaysia, especially those in Singapore, Sabah & Sarawak. Expire in 7 years but won't get frozen.

Thanks for the tips.

You mean the NFC card will not become dormant even if without transaction?
