No.
Currently card balance is not able sync to E-wallet

Only toll with PayDirect feature, use card at toll booth, deduct balance in e-wallet

What will happen to my TnG card if I enter the parking zone with TnG card, but exit using season pass?

Can I enter the parking again using the same TnG card?

I think should be the same as if you didn't tag out when exiting public transport like LRT? My card was blocked and I have to unblock it at the tng counter..

Touch ‘n Go 10% surcharge to be removed gradually

ELECTRONIC payment system Touch ‘n Go (TNG) will gradually end its 10% surcharge imposed at parking facilities, said Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Chong Chieng Jen.

The CIMB Group Holdings Bhd owned company has initiated a programme that ensures all new contracts or future renewals will not impose any merchant discount rate surcharges.

“As for existing surcharge-based contracts, it will expire in stages,” Chong told the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (Barisan Nasional-Ayer Hitam) had asked on how the government restricts the monopoly on the use of TNG electronic payment cards in view of the additional 10% charge on parking and 50 sen for each additional reloads.

I swear someone was arguing with me about the 50sen fee for topup is split between merchant and operator..

QUOTE
He also noted the 50 sen surcharge was only imposed by certain petrol stations, shopping outlets, ATM machines and sundry shops.

He added that Touch n' Go card did not impose this surcharge, but was done by operators of the outlets.

Yessss I have been waiting for this one. Surcharge on parking is just plain dumb when they want to promote the card usage.

Sometimes it still makes sense to use parking ticket.
Such as some shopping malls that have slow/jammed exit.

Let say you need to get everything done within 1 hour, just pay at autopay within 1 hour and get extension which is usually 15 minutes.
With TNG card, should be no such extension.

It makes sense on some malls where they offer free parking for spending. Example tesco in ioi city mall, ikea in mytown. I don’t think you are able to get parking discount if you use touch n go to enter at the moment. Hope they can enhance this.

"Touch n' Go card has taken the initiative that in all its future contractors or renewal of contractors, there will not be the surcharge rate based on the merchant discount rate.

...

He said the current 10% surcharge was a contractual obligation between Touch n' Go card and carpark operators with dual parking systems."

tng has been shifting the blame to operators -> operators wouldnt want to absorb (possibly due to TNG's monopoly/pressure for the 10% mdr fee) -> operator pass the charge to consumers doh.gif

Hmm nowadays if I go ikea, there is a parking machine at the check out counter and you just insert the parking ticket to get the discount. This is in the self check out counter in ikea my town. I don’t know how it works if we use touch n go card to enter.

Aiyah all TnG bullshit la, they monopoly for so long, and now as if willingly remove the surcharge after more competition ie Sunway Pyramid implementing number plate recognition which is so much more convenient and secure. Really like the security which comes with number plate recognition
