Just wonder why would I use touch and gone wallet when I can just use paywave using my credit card in kfc?

Don’t see any value added by using e wallet.
*
One reason for me is because I can reload TnG with discounted reload coupon eg:RM15 for RM20. Of course, this goes for TnG wallet in general, not just KFC.

PM where can u get TNG Reload PIN brows.gif
*
I post here lah. Just look for it in Shopee/Lazada/11Street, you’ll find it. They come and go though. To get a discount, have to use the Shopee coins cause vouchers don’t work for topup category.

I don't get the PayDirect feature. Shouldn't TnG be promoting their RFID, why are they promoting physical card usage at toll booths?
*
They're promoting their eWallet. All your money in your eWallet and you use it with RFID or TNG card. As you know, everybody has a TnG card. More methods in the future. NFC watches, phones all linked to the TnG wallet.Even now you can already do online purchases with the eWallet.

No need to have money stuck in the TnG card nor to keep it topped up. Which is what many of us do now as a backup to RFID/wallet.

on reload side, obviously this move will kill off ePay who offers TNG card reload facilities to offline merchants.  laugh.gif of course,  indirect impacting us who are chasing cashback as well.
*
This. Meaning those reloads with pieces of paper with the PINs printed on them right? I actually do most of my TnG eWallet reloads this way. Seldom with CC.

But now the PayDirect is only for tolls right? You mean it will expand to other means in the future?
*
Sure, why not? In the future, it'll just be a conduit that allows your money to flow from your wallet to the merchant. Handy when your phone has just been stolen or is out of battery. Everyone has one.

Means only can buy 1 drink per user..  sad.gif
*
If it's like last time, it's one RM2.50 drink per transaction so you just make multiple separate orders. The Tealive in Sg Long even had a handwritten sign with those instructions.

[mean that card balance won't show in the app?
*
It's supposed to show but right now it's showing as RM0 (card has RM10). Status last updated May 31.

My own TnG cards shows last updated dates of 27/6, 6/5, 8/2. Not sure about the balance.

To get your money back quicker, Touch ‘n Go has revealed a faster eRefund process for those that have a verified Touch ‘n Go eWallet account.

If you’ve completed the e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process, you can get refunds to your eWallet within 24 hours if the value is less than RM10. If the value is more than RM10, you’ll receive the eRefund within 7-14 working days.

The eRefund will be transferred to your eWallet.

At the moment, it has to go through Touch ‘n Go’s portal and you can’t request a refund through the TNG eWallet. Previously, the Touch ‘n Go refund process can take up to 30 days to process and the amount is credited to your local bank account.

I'm standing by with popcorn in hand, as far as I know, Apple hasn't enabled NFC capabilities apart from it being used for Apple Pay only, many banks in the U.S and Australia have lawsuits ongoing with Apple to ask/ force Apple to open up NFC capabilities, if big giants in the U.S or Australia can't win this NFC debacle, I don't think a small fry like Touch n Go Malaysia will have access to Apple's NFC
*
I think can. I got this NFC app which can read NFC tags that I’ve created. And write too though I’ve never tried that.
