Please note that any Touch ‘n Go card that is not linked to Touch ‘n Go eWallet or has had no card transaction or reload for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months will become dormant (i.e. status inactive). To avoid any deduction of service fees, use the card at least once in twelve (12) months or link it to your Touch ‘n Go eWallet account.

Once a card is deactivated, service fee of RM5.30 (including GST effective 1st April 2015 until 31st May 2018) or RM5.00 (effective from 1st June 2018 onwards) will be imposed. The fee is deducted from the last card balance during termination of the card. In the event of a deactivated card continues to remain inactive, service fee of  RM5.30 or RM5.00 will be charged and deducted from the said deposit or unutilized card balance once every six (6) months. We will stop charging the fee when the card is replaced, returned for refund or until the deposit and card balance is depleted.

To terminate your dormant Touch ‘n Go Card, please follow the steps below:

1.    Click on this link, https://customerservice.touchngo.com.my/erefund/
2.    You will be directed to “e-Refund” page. Fill in all required details.
3.    Please ensure your details are correct and click “Submit”.

Any refund on the unutilized card balance will be processed within 30 days from the date of your e-Refund submission.

For continued usage, please purchase a new Touch ‘n Go card at selected retail, transit, self-service kiosk and petrol stations.

My dormant card has a balance of RM20 and inactive since 2014. With all the rolling service charge, means it becomes 0. I requested for a e-Refund yesterday anyway. Let's see if I get anything.

I was told by CS that reloading to the card is also considered usage and will avoid the card becoming dormant. Can anyone confirm?

So far no surcharge for me.
*
Mahkota Parade Melaka charged me RM3.30 yesterday, so I suppose it is 10% surcharge. First time using tng card after they make it compulsory and no more cash payment.

Same, no more cash payment at malls near my place, but the charge looks odd - RM1.10, RM2.20. Not clear whether there are surcharges or overall payment is now under the parking charge. It's the same if you pay by debit card.

Well, somebody has to pay for the cashless integration and unsurprisingly, costs will be passed on to consumers.
*
They have yet to update the new fee, still showing RM3 for the first hour. Tng card payment has been one of the option even when cash payment is still applicable so there is no new investment. Oh well, will go to other malls when possible.

yes for me. though i note its a bit weird. desa park city that used to charge 10% (noticed by the weird cents behind) seems to stop charging that.
no idea if they have increased the parking fee instead.

and another mall i go don't charge the 10%, but its not uncommon to be charged.
*
That's what i thought. That they would stop the surcharge when they make it compulsory.

Is there such thing as min amount needed to be stored in the Tng card?

Also, is there any website that can automatically calculate the total toll fare between 2 points? Plus website has a calculator but need to know the specific toll name.

no min.

maybe can try Waze?

Thanks. Tried but the estimated amount appears to be too low.

I will try to pick a further toll name and use the fare as reference for amount to top up.

Is it normal that reload via counter is not reflected at TNG app or online portal after 24 hours?

For some reason, Watson has been reluctant to do reloads too. Been to several stores and they keep saying machine down. One day I gave them a piece of my mind and voila, the machine works.
