You talking about connecting to NA/EU?

As far as i know most connection to NA/EU ping is about 250-300

no point playing there and wasting money dont forget USD>MYR.


I seriously want to ask why you guys want to play in a server which pings is not in your favour at all.


Blade and Soul is not your typical mouse point and click game, game is very dependent on ping.
Instead of mouse clicking movement controls are controlled via WASD and Camera is via Mouse movement. Your skills are character perspective for targeting enemies.
It is a fast paced game which PING play a very big role in this game.

Let me empathize again PING very important.

The game is best played in its original intended language Japanese,Korean or Chinese which preserve the game essence really well.

Not everyone can read chinese? even if we use the english patch, it is only partially translated. And all the other players will be communicating in mandarin. You'll basicly be playing alone because of the language barrier, where is the fun in that? Tried the taiwan server, better ping but feel a bit alienated.

There are a few SEA Guild there which you can join and there problem solve with feeling alienated.
You wont be feeling alone once you join an already establish community in Taiwan right.

Regarding the english patch last i check they had everything translated skills/menu/character stats and i think they even start translating the cutscene with english subs

Most of the player will be communicating in Mandarin.You are right but did you try communicate with them in English and see what happen.
I had at a few occasion communicate with them in English and they understand yes they respond by subpar english but hey they try to communicate.
They are surprise why i even play in Taiwan and not in NA/EU.It's only a barrier if you make it a barrier and not try to communicate.

Let me ask you whats the fun in a game which is very dependent on ping and your ping is above 200?

Unless you are playing range then great go ahead out of 6 class you can only play 2 class.

You will be horrible in PVP US/EU will be hitting you with a skills and you wont know WTF is happening.

Assumption below is if they follow the same stats they had on CN/Taiwan.

You dont PVP, great news for you in PVE you are a liability the class you are playing is at best performing at 50% of its capabilities

In B&S there is 6 man Dungeon and 4 man Dungeon.There is an enrage timer at every boss.

Performing at 50% not doing enough damage? Boss enrage whole party wipe rinse repeat.
-Gear Check best gear in game but still wiping? Why?
-Doing the best rotation as i could but why am i hitting hard enough? Why?
-Let me look up youtube and watch how people kill this boss.
-Wait a sec why are they hitting faster than me?

Oh waitt its my ping all over again.

/TLDR/

Enough rant from me just want to inform you guys its not worth the trouble to play in NA/EU.

When there is a better server right near our own region.

Is there a way to dodge in this game? It seems like the enemy's attacks are locked on to me even if I move out of their hitting area.

Feels like Tera's combat but somehow the dodging mechanic isn't there.

if you are certain melee class you got more ways to dodge such as BLOCK/Side Step and etc

Block most class got their own block some need to unlock via skills point allocation?

Side step usually is level unlocked Q/E

BM/LBM/KFM/Asssasin got Q/E side step and block

Destroyer Block and backwards

or

You are just lagging horribly that you think you already move out of the hit zone but you are not.

Of course, iinm Q, E and double tap S, KFM dodge is cool, because can counterattack immediately, and the animation is cool

Thanks guys. I am not sure if I am lagging or not cause I've never played in the Taiwan B&S. First time playing this game and the on-screen instructions didn't say anything about a side step or backstep. I'm playing a blade dancer.

I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Anyone got the ping comparison for the ping in different region.

i personally play the cn version last time with xunlei vpn, ping from 90ms~105ms.

whats the ping for taiwan and na server. anyone mind sharing?

Totally agreed with you bro~ u guys will suffering dealing damage and dodging boss while having high ping, so no point playing in NA server.

At low level are pretty easy for you to killing those mobs even you got high ping, but when you guys reaching high lvl starting to go some dungeon and fight boss (you will totally regret playing in high ping server due to slow attack,low dps that dealing on boss and cant even dodge skill from boss)

Dungeon mode
6/4 player dungeon mode are depending on teamwork, need no mistake if possible ( how you gona make it no mistake while having high ping? fail dodge you may die instantly, with slow dps on boss will get team wipe due to time limit on every boss )

Most of Taiwanese are friendly and some speak english too. In Taiwan server (萬夫莫敵) got lot english player and guild, so no worry in communication. But if u guys worry to play alone, come join (Overlord) guild red faction, I m one of the guild member ( Recently less playing due to CNY are near, lot work to do XD )

Hi i m not sure bout Taiwan server ping, but I m not using any booster and only using 2Mbs StreamyX can play smooth in game

Honestly if playing casually or RP-ing at NA/EU servers,it's pretty much doable.

With their current contents,even with high pings,the game-plays wont tank too much.

But,with Mushin tower updates coming soon,don't expect to clear it with ease or clear it at all.

More so with the 50's content's as the raids,factions pvp and the important end tier instances requires very accurate,fast pace response with major DPS sustains from players.

As for pings,
BnS are best played at below 100ping for all the classes.
Anything over it and you will see your DPS reduced with harder to i-frame skills and evade mobs or boss attacks.

At the moment only TW version offers the best in terms of pings.
Without vpn, the ping hovers around 70-100.

Mind Sharing your WAN IP?
I’m using 4mbps Streamyx & still not playable without WTFast. I do noticed the ping varies when I try to reconnect my streamyx & get a different WAN IP.
Performance seems best when I get IP starts with 60.
Ping stays at ~100-150 with WTFast but not always stable.
Still getting quite a lot of ping spikes.

Im a 9 star BM as well with all equips maxed (currently farming materials to evolve into legend weapon, dam expensive ).
It is quite depressing when my guildmates from Taiwan able to solo clear Snowman & 2min clear Mushin15 when our gears are similar.
We’ve compared with Mushin training doll, he can spam skill way faster than me.

By the way, don’t you think the current version BM dps is very weak compare with other jobs?
Wish the update comes faster, latest Korean version they have buff quick sword damage by quite a big margin.
