well,
last week i posted a topic to sell of my nokia 6680, and i sold to someone in here which is lowyat forum member, we cod on the day itself...so, i tested the phone for making outgoing and incoming calls, i even use that phone to make phone calls to him and even sms him to ask whereabout of him and we cod. when we are COD-ing, i tested the phone to make incoming and outgoing calls infront of him, no problem, i dare to test my phone infront of him because i know that my phone is troublefree, then everything goes smoothly and we deal!then everything is ok until today, he sent me an sms saying that my phone got network problem which cannot detect the network and my warranty is void cause the sticker is cacat. since the day i bought in the month of March, i did change the housing but not by myself, is by the phone shop in the town, so i dont know if the sticker is cacat or not, so, after all, should i responsible for all these problems?

i dont wish that my sales become like this because it will just tanish my reputation in this forum, but all these problems is not from me cause i dont know either the sticker is cacat or not, i just a normal phone user to make phone calls and sms, i dont even know how to change the housing cover, so, how would i going to temper the phone's warranty sticker?about the network problem of the phone, when i am using, is really 100% no problem, if got problem, will i able to make phone call and sms to him using that phone??will i COD with him if i know my phone got problem?because i know my phone is 100% good, i dare to meet him face to face to deal with him!

so, i just wanna ask what should i do now?if he ask for refund, should i refund to him or just ignore him?please guide me..i dono what to do cause when i'm using the phone, there is no problem, then after he used it for almost 1 week, then only he sms to me saying the phone got network problem...so, how?

*sorry if i posted in wrong section, but it is related to the sells here, so i tink is correct?

If your reputation as a seller is at stake here, then I guess you could refund the original price and get the phone back.

Then again, he could've done something to your phone (took some parts and replace it with faulty one?). But if the phone is still working 100% ok under your possession, than you didn'tl ose anything except time to COD and a few sens for the SMSes smile.gif

Just a thought.

He does not deserve a refund.

The warranty sticker's problem is his own fault for not checking. Not your problem. You don't have to show him everything. It is his responsibility to check the phone during COD.

Also, did you provide any personal warranty? If you didn't, then just ignore him.

nope, i didnt stake any personal warranty for him, i just say if got any problem, he can call me back, so, if he keep on asking me to refund him, should i ignore or just pay back of how much he paid to me?but in the period of 1 week time, if he change something to that phone and i refund to him, is it a great lost to me?so, does everyone here agree if i just ignore him?in the reason of sell of my phone, i stated that i'm going to upgrade to n80, but i didnt make it cause the money that i accumulate has been use for emergency, so, i just go with N70 instead of N80. he say that he will claim the warranty but i wonder if he can claim warranty with the tempered sticker?if he cannot claim the warranty and refer back to me, what should i do?the phone is right with him for 1 week, whatever he did to that phone, i dont know..for the while i using that phone since March 2006, no problem at all...but after the phone is with his hands, everything goes wrong, so, should i responsible for this?

refund = great loss to me as i dont know if he did change anything to that phone
ignore = my reputation will tanished in this forum

so, please let me knw what should i do more?

Why don't you ask him to post his reply here?
At least give him a chance to explain his side of the story.

i dont know, he sms me and say he will claim the warranty and i reply ok, till now he didn't reply to me anything...i just scared that the next time he call he will ask me to refund, by that time, it is too long to refund because i dono what he did to the phone. if my phone got problem, why the first day he using it has no problem and have to wait till 1 week only the problem occur?this is what i am wondering...

and ya, he said the phone got this problem after 3 days of usage, he bought from me on 13th Sept 2006(2pm at Cheras), and till yesterday almost midnight (18th Sept 2006), around 11++pm, he sent me an sms saying the phone got network problem, he say firstly he thinking the network is down, but when he change to other network sim card, still cant detect the network, then he send sms to me. but if the phone got problem after 3days, y until ystday night only send sms to me(is about 5days and 9hours after the sells). but in the meantime, my phone has no problem when i was using it..isnt it ridiculous now?please, everyone here have a fair judge of my situation...

but what do u mean by battery kong and line kong?so far my phone ok all the while wor?i dont get what u mean...but for what i am using all the while, i really dono what is happening to the phone because i never encounter before, as for the warranty problem, i really dont know about that, because all i know is just buy this as a new phone from another lowyat member here, i check the warranty sticker at the battery there and it seems ok, i dont know about the screw sticker thingy cause i dont know how to change the housing,so, i dont know if the sticker there is tempered or not, but just to be sure, before i sell it to u, i sent to phone shop to ask them to check if my phone got problem before i sell it off and ask them to help me to change back to the original housing, but i didnt see them tempering anything with the phone except swtching different network sim card and try to make phone call and even sms, and it seems ok which i also follow the way they test my phone infront of the buyer when i am COD with him, everything is ok!so, i really dont know what is happening cause i really don't know anything about all this problem...

The best thing is send the phone to hp shop and ask if there's any problem with the phone. Then take things from there.

1st of all,
did u provide him personal warranty? if yes, how long?

If no...
You dont have to bother him anymore.

Ask him to repair it.....if small amount..maybe u can pay for him(If you want)

Just passing by and couldn't help looking at all the posts here...Erm,i would like to ask azri_ny...are u using 3G for both celcom and maxis?Maybe this is non relevant...but i've heard lots of complaints from Nokia 6680 users regarding about network coverage problems. The problems lies within the network settings, which if i'm not mistaken it's defaulted to be set at GSM & 3G...If so and u're using 3G service...the phone itself tends to go haywire due to searching 3G network...then u'll see that the network reception bar is damn low or nothing at all...I experienced that using my SE Z800i when maxis's 3G coverage sucks. The only solution is to change the Network Settings to GSM only.Just my thinking...hope it helps.

yes, u are absolutely right.. i had the same prob before with celcom 3G and maxis 3G sims in my N6680.. but when i changed the settings to GSM only and not Dual Mode, everything went ok.. like u said, it happens when the hp is switching towers from 3G to non-3G towers, the line would juz drop and then, no line at all..

so, to azri_ny, maybe u could try changing the settings?
