1gb shuffle, 15hours - USD79
2GB Nano 1G, refurb - USD99
4GB ipod mini, refurb - USD99
2GB Nano 2G, 24hours - USD149
30GB 5g, 14hours, refurb - USD179
8gb Nano, 24 horus, new - USD249
30gb Video, 14 Horus, new - USD249

With this kind of prices and this many options, it's really not an easy task to choose and ipod. Initially i ordered a 1gb shuffle for me and my gf, now that i seriously think about it...the shuffle is really nice and compact...but 1gb seems like it's not gonna cut it. Also taking into account that my 4gb mini has been almost 2 years + old now, the battery life only last like 4 hours nowadays..and i usually only fill 2gb + of music into it...I decided to sell it off for cheap and get the 2gb nano instead. biggrin.gif 24 hours playback time...even if i only get 70% of it...that still pwn my current ipod big time...wise decision? (still getting one shuffle, though)

I face the wxact situation as you. Still deciding going foe the new Shuffle, 2nd Gen Nano(2gb/4gb/8gb) or Video, since the price range is not that far apart. It's hard to decide.... rclxub.gif

it's CAD over here, I got a coupon for 15CAD off, then there's a 14% tax.

I was looking at the pricing again just now....and the interesting part is...

Price for:
8gb ipod nano = 30gb 5G ipod video

WOW....apple is bending the rules and defying the logic of product pricing...Steve Jobs' one heck of a fellow!

AlamakLor,

i would suggest u to go for more storage. for 24 hours of playback, you don't expect to hear the same song over and over again.

i would say 4GB at the minimum.

hmmm....i was doing some analysis earlier:

2gb = apprx 1800mb
1 song = apprx 3.6mb
total songs = 500
1 song apprx 4 mins
total hours = 2000 mins/33 hours

that's above the battery life already...The 4 gb is about 220+RM more than the 2gb...dun really have that much budget there.
