I remember long time ago saw a Proton article on CFE engine. It says it was designed with mineral oil 10W30 in mind. Local ambient temp is around 30+C. Looking at the photo, 10W30 seems the most ideal, good for ambient temperature up to 40C. 5W40 or 5W50 only protects up to ambient temperature of 20C. 10W40 and 10W50 protects up to over 50C which is more for the Sahara desert. That is what I use and never have any problem.

Hey guys I'm wondering if Exora is worth it. I like boot size of it and it is good for my father who has stroke to get in and he said he likes the car.

However, I've heard people say the engine and radiator causes problems after a few years.

Can anyone vouch for exora so I can finally pull the trigger thanks!

For old people getting in and out of any car, Exora is the best I ever come across. Just slide in and out of the seats.

I have never encountered those problems with mine. The only -ve is very high fuel consumption.

Where buy exora now? Used car need to save some budget for repairs. Protons require attention, you have to maintain them well, take note of things that require to service and parts need replace when due and it’ll run great.

I would say, maintenance wise, Proton is just like any other car. Just service as per owner manual, and you will be fine like other cars

Turbo is highly recommended because the body is heavy. But the engine is quite thirsty for city driving.

If u coming from continental, it is a saving. If coming from Perodua or Toyota, it is a guzzler.

MUST get the Turbo version.

Non-turbo drives like a pig. Forget about it.
