my exora bold 2012 milage 100,000km under repair by one of the proton centre
problem engine light on, cvt light on, and rpm meter goes maximum (8,000rpm) without engine on just ignition on (even engine on rpm still stay at maximum)
car can start but in limp or home mode cannot accelerate moving at only 20km
change accelerator peddle sensor, swap ecu and tcu, clean throttle body, check wirings but still the same problems

obd2 error code
P0642 - powertrain
P2135 - throttle pedal position sensor
P012c - powertrain
C1555 - chasis
U1013 - network
U1012 - network
P005A - powertrain
P1401 - powertrain
P00D0 - powertrain
P0700 - transmission control system
P0128 - coolant thermostat
P0001 - powertrain

any help or suggestion appreciate very much

Seems like wiring harness got really messed up.
I do not know where to begin.

can check the battery terminal first? take battery off for an hour. check the power cables for any corrosion.

after changing throttle pedal sensor, clean throttle body and replace crank sensor remain three errors codes
P012c - pressure upstream throttle sensor short circuit to ground
P0642 - sensor reference voltage A circuit low
P2135 - throttle position plausibility
engine light and cvt light still on error after reset
check cvt oil level ok
check wirings but could not find any problem

any help appreciated very much

exora bold 2012
after replacing the mass air flow sensor, P012c - pressure upstream throttle sensor short circuit to ground disappear
now only remainder two error codes out of three
P0642 - sensor reference voltage A circuit low and P2135 - throttle position plausibility (this two error codes still remain)
but when remove throttle body electrical plug the rpm meter reading always maximum (8k rpm) drop to zero
and check error codes now difference two error codes - suspect throttle body unit will replace waiting for spare and later will report

about 1 year ago, i've had some problems (engine light on, cvt light on, engine rev very loud - high rpm) when i test using china bt obd2 scanner and 'pro' version of torque.
i assumed something wrong with the app, or the scanner (maybe incompatible setting, and they giving wrong input or instructions to ecu) and i stopped using it. never had any problems ever since.

And the SC let you drive it back like that?
You might want to change SC if you can.

If it were me. I will tell the SC. It's bloody under warranty. Its either you fix or else I'm gonna give "you" a real piece of my mind. sc just wanna avoid

You are lucky the car still under warranty. But even after warranty over there are outside CVT specialists which can test down the CVT rather than Proton themselves just know how to change the entire GB.

Hmm.... I wonder if both incidents are related?
A) Change engine mounting like in June/July
B) Now when going thru slightly uneven roads, can hear kruk kruk kruk, like the absorbers rosak dah... How do I find out for sure without sending to mechanic?

Guys just want to ask: suddenly today my 6 years old exora bold aircond isn't cold anymore. Went to my trusted mechanic but unfortunately he doesn't do aircond repair/service anymore. Anyway he take a look at my car and check the aircond gas level and checked the compressor - the compressor is working fine - and he said there's a leakage somewhere but not in the engine area since if the leakage is in the front, we should be able to see it.

So I asked him could the issue be with cooling coil and he said yes. So I googled some more and apparently exora uses 2 cooling coil (front & rear). Additionally there's a chance that it's the condenser.

So instead of going to the mechanic to check whether the issue is with my front/rear cooling coil or condenser, I plan to purchase all this 3 first from shopee/lazada (any suggested shop?) and get another mechanic to install these for me. Obviously my reason of buying this 3 first by myself is because of cost reason. Any comments on my method here?

Thanks

exora bold 2012 cvt and engine lights on and rpm goes maximum 8k ignition on without engine on
problem solve - change throttle body (short circuit cause rpm goes maximum) and the mass air flow sensor also short circuit (possible water enter air flow sensor)
also change throttle pedal but i guess not the problem and also change the crank sensor also guess not the problem
thanks alot to proton keb auto jalan jelatek to solve the problem using scanner to determine the problem
and thanks lowyat forum for advice

I am relieved to hear this.
The total repair damages?

imin Suggest you look for a reliable mechanic, and ask them to proof the leak.

Mine was at the front condenser, nothing wrong with the cooling coil.
Rust spot and contact points at one of the corner edge caused a low speed leak (high pressure only bring out one bubble per minute).
Re-filled gas 2-3 times, and still leaked within a month's time.

Total damage under RM400 inclusive.
