Well, that's what some people I know (including a few family members) told me - you made a wrong choice for an MPV / bro, you serious with getting that Potong Car? / come on, why did you not go for that Estima instead / Proton is crap, my friend / bla bla bla... shakehead.gif

Fast forward two months and pretty much everyone took back what they said, commenting that I got a good price for this reliable Malaysian-made family car (at $75k, where else can I get an MPV with stuff like full safety features, built-in DVD player, cruise control, rear view reverse cam, a turbocharged engine, and even free tinted film on all windscreens?). Not forgetting that the Exora also came brand new, with only 36km on the odometer upon collection (my car was a vehicle used by only three others since I first took it for a test-drive), unlike the crazy 10k-plus km on some Toyota Estimas, Alphards, and Wishes I saw! laugh.gif

And the Exora has definitely served me well thus far, hitting a total distance of over 6.3km in this period of time without any major issues (touch wood). This only goes to show that Proton has finally got their act right with the Exora, Suprima, and Prevé, compared with duds like the Gen.2 (one of my previous cars) and Juara! thumbup.gif rclxms.gif

agree with you bro. so far this is the best mpv below 100k in the market.

Just to check, does COE offer test drive?
I did once in Mutiara, 2 years ago, but the ride is not so good because distant and cannot speed.
My wifi had drove innova before at my in law place. Me too drive and seat before.
The ride is like uncle, slow but if want fast still can be fast but not speed up. Slow and secure type of feeling.
Exora feel like bit harsh and rush type. So I need to test drive again to confirm again.
Although exora size is much about innova, but the sea configuration of innova feel large and the 2nd row space is kinda wide. Even when seating position, kid still able to stand infront of you.
Have you come across the problem highlighted exora difficulity to move from stand still sloop position?

Innova ride like a pickup/truck. too bumpy. petrol sucker! Innova chassis same as Hilux.
In terms of cabin space i would say it's equal. Finishing both more same.
Exora feel bit harsh? i don't think so, quite smooth in acceleration.
About the slope, model 2014 and above got Hill Assist, i don't have any problem in slope condition.

So far I had seat and drove innova model 2013, so far so good. Petrol yes is high. Is soft bumpy at least not hard.
Exora, i need to test drive with the sales office. I did once but it was 2 years ago, CFE type.
Any recomend sales can have a good test drive?

THTgadgets.comtsg_7 I complained for engine vibration and cabin boomy noise, car jerks when gear engage to D, which wasn't there before. That lead to engine mounting replacement.

Engine mounting (40k), steering shaft (20k) seems to be problems in pre-2014 models. I almost forgot how a brand new Exora feels like, particularly overall NVH. This is not easy as we're in the car everyday as it slowly deteriorated... until I got into another brand new Exora and noticed the difference.

The rear windscreen has a large flat spot in the center. When it is wet, the rear windshield wiper does not contact this ellipse shaped spot when crossing the windshield and as a result there is a large water covered area. Best guess is that area is pressed in during heating of the 'tempering' process. You can inspect this on your car:
- Turn on ignition switch, no need to start the car.
- Activating the rear wiper, and switch off the ignition switch when it reaches the center.
- Check the contact of the wiper blade with the windscreen for gaps.

The FEAD one was a surprise.
The belt had cracks all along the ribs, and it really had to go. Looked like this video at 2:28 mark:

If count engine oil, it's RM460. I am using Shell Ultra 5W-40. Proton SC engine oils:
Petronas 800 SS: 10W-30 (3L+1L)
Petronas 1000 FS: 15W-50
Petronas 3000 FS: 15W-40

Now that reminds me why I spend that extra on Petronas 3000 at 10k service.

which SC can use own EO?
