for one whom aspire to become "pilot" ... is better you do somethings that is better then pilot...
cos .. nowadays "pilot" is no longer a glamour job to be .... because of the cutting cost in the industry ....

"pilot" now is like.... driver of a limo ... no big deal ...

it will be different story ..if you were  to sit of 1 st class then have a "pilot" FLYING  the plane....
the actually fact that now ...one need about $$ 200,000.00 to finish the pilot course ( to able to fly commercial aircraft )

with that much of $$$ .. i am sure one can use it for something better then "pilot "

if you were to look at the job prospect .. "pilot" is not listing on a "good" ranking in the world job market

statement of a ex pilot ..

please do not get the wrong picture ... "pilot " is a good job ... but .. but .. but ....

after all the $$$ invested on the piloting course and all the effort .. on the study ....

imagine .. this facts ... one only able to  get a "pilot"   position of flying a 30 years old  " cargo "plane ....

so this is ....good or not .... you decide yourself .....

only to advice  the young and espire person  to be a "pilot"
can you imagine the different of flying a 747  for a airline company ... and flying the same kind of 747 .. for federal express...

What is wrong with flying a 30 yrs old cargo plane? Its not just about flying big jets for an airline. Trust me, not all aspiring pilots only want to aim for big, new jets.

Personally, I'm also an aspiring pilot but actually I would love to get my hands in the Twin Otter (for a start of course) flying around the ulu areas. Its kinda fun man thumbup.gif
