Still trying to learn how to use the phone though.
Noticed there is a wechat watch, wonder what was that?
And when some one called me, how to make the watch to vibrate or show that someone is calling? My Mute is off but nothing happen to the watch when my phone rings.

QUOTE(azerak @ Jan 29 2015, 12:41 AM) Have you connected your phone to your watch? Thanks for the reply azerak. I have found the problem, I connected both my pebble and LG G watch can't work, after disconnect from Pebble, it is working fine already. The problem now is, when I ask the watch to call someone, it can't call. Not sure where to allow in the phone. It can send SMS though.

Hi guys,
I noticed sometimes when notifications comes, the watch will not vibrate and the screen is not lighted up.
I have to touch the screen only to notice there are notifications.
Is there anyway to test the notifications is working, in Pebble there is an option to test notifications.
Thank you.

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 2 2015, 05:43 PM) Is this happening for all your notifications? Or only notifications from certain apps? Does the notification appear on your phone & Phone Status Bar? And I assume you did not put your watch to silent mode/theater mode? I am abit confused now, sometimes certain apps will appear in the notification, sometimes it won appear at all. And when it appear, it does not vibrate only until I try to look on my watch to tell time, then only I noticed there are notifications. All notifications do appear on phone and phone status bar. Yes, my watch is not in silent and theater mode. Confirmed. Watch connection is ok. I can use the web browser in the watch to online. This post has been edited by esmonde: Mar 2 2015, 05:55 PM

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 2 2015, 05:56 PM) Ok, this is what happened based on my own experience. Basically if your notification does not vibrate your phone, it won't vibrate/light up on your watch. It follows your profile set on the phone. Eg: Whatsapp: If your message does not light up/vibrate the phone, it does not light up/vibrate the watch. Try setting the notification on your "app" to vibrate, then try again with the watch, see whether the watch light up/vibrate or not. Its quite annoying the profile system of Android Wear, but this is how it is. My phone notification manager only have, notify, allow and restrict. Can't see where to set to vibrate. I tried to set my phone to vibrate mode. My watch still doesn't wants to vibrate... oh god.

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 2 2015, 06:09 PM) What phone are you using? Does your phone vibrate when you have notifications coming in? Android Wear mimics the notification behavior of your app on your phone. Usually I will put my phone to silent. And depends on notifications from watch. But now, seems like I missed alot of notifications. I am using Huawei Honor 6. What I discovered now is: Following will vibrate: Phone call Line Facebook Games notification Following will not vibrate: SMS Email WeChat Whatsapp

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 2 2015, 08:25 PM) Ok, let us try Whatsapp first, since I also using it without any issues. In Settings/Notifications/Message Notifications --> Did you set Vibration? If not, try set Vibration to "Short" then ask your friend to Whatspp you see whether watch will vibrate or not. I restarted my phone. Wechat and Email are now functioning with vibration and screen on. Whatsapp able to vibrate but the screen will not on. FB Messenger and SMS still will not vibrate nor screen on.

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 3 2015, 10:44 AM) Ok, at least you're having progress. Did you mute FB Messenger and SMS? Set it to full notifications (sound+vibrate on app setting), and try again. Ok, I tried to set my phone profile to sound instead of silent, the watch can vibrate. But I do not want my phone to ring as I have my watch to notify me. So in Android Wear app, I set the option to mute the phone when the watch is connected. The SMS notification in the watch gone again. Any other way to rectify this issue?

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 3 2015, 11:13 AM) Ok, this may not be the best solution but you can try. Use the Textra SMS app, it can be integrated to Android Wear, with nice Material Design UI. I am using it without any problems, recommended. The apps working perfectly fine. And it vibrates the watch longer then other notifications. Left with FB Messenger now. Never thought that android wear need so much of knowledge to make it work. Haha

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 3 2015, 02:34 PM) Hmm, either something wrong with your phone or watch ler. More info about your phone and OS? Huawei Honor 6, Android 4.4.2. I tried to go through Android Wear apps comment, quite a number complained notification did not reach the watch after updates. And I only encounter this problem like starting from the last weekend. Not sure when is the Android Wear updated though.

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Mar 3 2015, 06:28 PM) 1 way to proof what is the issue, is that you pair it with another phone. Oh, and did you do a Reset on your watch? Try reset, then Resync all apps (will take a while, and consume lots of battery), but usually after an update you should reset the watch & resync all apps. Yes, I have reset my watch yesterday. So far so good although sometimes the notification still doesn't comes in. But now seems to be better.
