I believe mat yo was the guy who kicked the ball towards the goal 1st, the 2 viet defenders just 'escort' the ball to the viet keeper and didn't realise mat yo behind them

keeper can't touch the ball until ball is inside penalty box, so mat yo stretched out his leg to kick the ball, the rest is history...
