KUALA LUMPUR: Vietnam mengesyaki terdapat unsur mengatur keputusan perlawanan susulan kekalahan pasukan kebangsaan mereka dalam pusingan kedua Piala AFF Suzuki malam tadi.

Us At Home’ mula tersebar.

So will Malaysia have to play in an empty stadium at home as a punishment in the final?
*
i don't think so since PDRM already arrest the suspect and AFC made no announcement on this at all... only AFF. AFF have not even made a decision yet on this... I will update on this once I get the info. But, for me, It would not happen..unless Vietnam Football Federation lodged a formal complain against FAM, but as I know, no complain yet

PETALING JAYA: The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is set to initiate investigations into the country's "incomprehensible defeat" to Malaysia in the second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final played at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi Thursday.

VFF chairman Le Hung Dung told local newspaper Thanh Nien that they would ask authorities to investigate the game, particularly the team's defence.
"I don't know what happened, and perhaps neither does coach (Toshiya) Miura. The defence was to blame for all four goals. Were they really that bad?" said Le.

Vietnam conceded four goals in the first half of the game.

Malaysia went on to win the second leg match 4-2 to advance to the finals of the tournament on a 5-4 aggregate score, after losing the first leg 1-2 at the Shah Alam Stadium.

Malaysia will face Thailand in a two-legged final.

"Malaysia was not that great, but we shot ourselves in the foot.

"We want relevant authorities to step in and clarify the truth so Vietnam's football won't be damaged any further," Thanh Nien reported Le as saying.

Vietnam's Japanese coach Miura was also puzzled with the result and could not explain why the team performed so badly against Malaysia.

"I don't know exactly what happened. The defence made mistakes... but offensive players also had a role in this game. Vietnamese players didn't play with the utmost determination," Thanh Nien reported.

In recent years, Vietnamese football has been blighted by match-fixing scandals.

A Vietnamese Vissai Ninh Binh FC player was jailed for two-and-a-half years for fixing an AFC Cup match against Kelantan in March 2014.

Eight other members of the same team were given suspended sentences of up to 27 months for manipulating the result of the match.

Prior to the AFF Suzuki Cup, the VFF, in collaboration with the Vietnamese police, assigned a police officer to accompany the national squad throughout the duration of the tournament.

wait a minute...now VFF bising liao....

PETALING JAYA: An independent report has revealed no evidence of match fixing in Malaysia’s 4-2 win over Vietnam in the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final second leg, the Asean Football Federation (AFF) said.

In a statement on its website, the federation said the report by Sportradar, a market leading supplier of sports and betting-related data services, revealed that no irregular betting patterns had been observed prior to or during the match in Hanoi on Wednesday.

“The Security Services did not observe any suspicious betting patterns in any of the pre-match or live betting markets. In fact, a moderate betting confidence was witnessed for Vietnam to win the match in the pre-match markets, however this betting is not strong enough to raise any integrity concerns. There are no signs in any of the betting markets to indicate that these incidents are suspicious.

“Although Malaysia recorded a surprising victory to advance to the final, the Security Services can find no betting evidence to suggest that this match was targeted for manipulation,” Sportradar said in its report.

The federation had announced its partnership with Sportradar prior to the start of this year’s AFF Suzuki Cup.

Under the agreement, the AFF would be notified by Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System of any suspicious betting patterns in any of the 12 group games or six knock-out stage matches.
