those plate, saddle bag and canbium saddle really add up some weight to my bike.i cant achieve below 10kg but i like it..

i hope i wont upgrade any parts for my tern already (i think its the max).really needs to upgrade my leg for now

You can reduce some weights by replacing the wheel spokes to double butted, carbon fork, pedal with titanium spindles etc.... But sure the wallet gonna be ligther.

Probably Brompton owners said that statement, because Bromptons use Sturmey Archer internal hub gear (which off course don't run out of alignment  tongue.gif  )which I find bothersome as it uses no quick release. You have to carry a 15mm spanner on your rides as you need it if there's a puncture.  tongue.gif

Brompton ridden for 5000KM not a single puncture oh! Schwalbe Marathon Plus is doing its job well For sure the B wasn't ridden on a trainer but tarmac and some rough surfaces... Ooops!

Lucky you!  rclxms.gif  I have seen a few Bs hit by puncture, that's why I know about  the spanner. I also did a 4 hour off road with another B rider from Gua Charas to Sg. Lembing through the gravel roads in an oil palm plantation. So, I know the Bs capabilities.  icon_rolleyes.gif I hope you don't take offence on the comments as it was said with no malicious intention. Although we never met, I know about you F***x ,  Send my regards to SY Happy Riding!

Yes, I do have a 15mm spanner hidden in the hollow tube frame...... have not used it yet as I have faith in the Schawalbe Marathons!!  sweat.gif

The spanner or wrench can also be used as a self defense weapon in the event being mugged sweat.gif

Enjoy the ride on any bikes that you own. Leave the upgrading as secondary as the process will never end.
