I ended up getting the Tern Node D16. Brilliant, brilliant bike (was persuaded by Johnny from My Bicycle Shop Bandar Utama to get this over the Link D16, which is exactly the same price). You can really feel the difference with the 24" wheels. The ride feels like a full sized bike, and it's so easy to get uphill with this thing (thanks to the gear ratio). Just tested it in Putrajaya today. The thing can really go very fast, almost as fast as a roadbike (in terms of top speed), and the acceleration is something I'm very surprised with. Only problem I have with it is the lousy magnets to secure the bike while folded (seems like a common problem with Tern). Always get disengaged if you drag the bike along the floor (in folded mode)
