QUOTE(terryble @ Dec 10 2014, 11:30 AM)
Dear All~~

I owned a Tern D8 with the N Fold mechanism~~

Recently i have an off road trip around Taman Wetland Putrajaya and some how dropped the REAR MAGNET of my bike~~

So when folded, the front and back was not able to "stick" together...

Checked with Vans Urban from where i bought the bike and they told me that the distributor does not carry the part and i would have to wait (indefinitely)....without the bloody magnet the bike just feel....incomplete~~

Would like to seek help from all fellow bikers here for help and recommendation~~

How can the magnet just drop off like that? This is not a very good design.

Brompton bags, a welcome addition to folding bikes.
If you have a Dahon or Tern, you can attach Brompton bags onto it as well. But need to do some modification to the Brompton front block before it can be used on a Tern or Dahon.

PM me if you want the contact to get the modification done.

Check out Brompton bags.

Isolated case?

Think again. Many issues raised with using a folding bike like this. do consider getting a steel folding bike.

Do you fully trust a folding bike that could just come apart like this or the main pin just breaks off?

The part about the magnet is true, once I had the misfortune of it coming apart unexpectedly and almost slamming into someone... good locking design?

And there was a case in M'sia where someone got hurt becoz of the bike folding while he was riding it, happened a few months ago)
