You guys know the dimension of dash x20 when in box?

Been liasing with a dude in japan but likely the box going to be too big to be posted sad.gif(

The price so cheap some more

http://www.stampringstop.com/folding-small...-20speed-nda005

Maximum parcel dimension

If you have someone in Japan, why don't you ask him to dismantle the whole bike to bare bone and repack. The problem is not the weight as it is only 12kgs but the volumetric dimension of the box.

It can be reassemble here.

Brompton bags, a welcome addition to folding bikes.
If you have a Dahon or Tern, you can attach Brompton bags onto it as well. But need to do some modification to the Brompton front block before it can be used on a Tern or Dahon.

PM me if you want the contact to get the modification done.

Check out Brompton bags.

The carton is also quite heavy! nod.gif The folded bike is 35cm x 79cm x 88cm so my guess is the box is around 45cm x 89cm x 98cm , presume we add 5 cm to every side. That's about the size of a small 16 inch thick table top! ohmy.gif The new 2015 Dahon Dash marketed in Malaysia is a bit lighter too as they have switch back to caliper brakes instead of the disc brakes. Consider buying one and then upgrade to 20 speed, could be cheaper. Do you want to try out the ride of a 20 speed Dash before comitting? I can let you ride mine. tongue.gif

For now like what you say i can just wait lorh. As for your offer, would love too test it out when the right time or opportunity comes around but how? Go your place ah?
Also, say if i do get a dash, roughly how much $$ if i wana put a bullhorn and sti levers onto it? Do i need to change derailleur or those 2 item can just masuk?

The new Dahon Dash 2015 specs are not very good and the price RRP is RM2998 which is way higher than last time. It uses Microshift RDs so the RD can just switch and the shifters can just be added onto the bull horn. The bullhorn that my wife's Performer is a Zipp replica(carbon fiber) and it cost me RM260 and the bar tape another RM100. Roadbike components are really expensive. The shifters are ven more expensive, a 10 speed Tiagra is almost RM400 , Shimano 105 RM600 and the Ultegra RM800 to sometimes RM1000 depending on the seller.

That's why many new riders don't understand why I am selling mine for RM4000 but has since went down to RM3500. Some even taunt me telling me that if he adds RM1700 for the 105 groupset + new bike RM3000 it is only RM4700 compared to an old Dash for RM3500. But he did not add in the superior and lighter rims, the Schwalbes, the Fizik bar grips, SR saddles, the QR pedals which might add up to another RM1000.

The cheapest 10 speed roadie components are the Shimano Tiagras and the SRAM Apex in which the Apex is priced higher but lower performance. tongue.gif

Nobody "taunt" you, I just pulled off from our deal and you were ok with it. A couple of hours later you counter offer me again, that's why I was trying to "explain" to you why I would like to cancel it, I repeat, I was just telling you my thought. I DID NOT ask you to lower down the price anymore, isn't it? I totally understand the spec + accessories you included, that's why I did not nego further. But I have my own will to purchase what I like right? In fact I don't even have to explain to you what I was thinking, but since you counter offer, I just sharing with you why I change my mind, to show that I am not someone simply FFK.

Yes, I am the one who "taunt" you on whatsapp. You have the right to "advertise" your sell, but don't simply say something which is NOT TRUE.

Yea, i also dont like when people question the price i put on my own item. Either you accept the price or give your best price that should be all. Questioning people decision is kinda disrespectful unless close friends lah.

On the upgrades, that means i just need to hunt a 10 speed sti levers then. I saw before in bbs rm180 a pair. Not sure 9 or 10 spd but regret didnt sapu it but ofcourse need wait i sapu a dash 1st. Haha

Sorry that I said that but there were a few others. I can guess which of the discussion is you and it's really no matter but there are some that I just didn't reply at all. Again, sorry if I said anything wrong. notworthy.gif

Anyway, I hope to take the two bikes to Kimbell Jaya and let Jimmy sell it off. Probably easier to sell because of the credit card facilities. I can offset it with my other bike purchases there. Anyone interested can view and try the bikes at Kimbell Jaya. icon_rolleyes.gif

Let's move away awhile from shifter, crank, fd/rd. Curious for any experience you may hv on the effect of RPM/cycling classes in the gym in cycling stamina level?

For the 24 speeds i see local bicycle shops sell around 1k without the sport rims. Sport rims seems quite expansive though
