The 130mm and 135mm refers to the width of the rear hub. It actually can be fitted regardlessly only if your frame is 130mm you can force open the width and if you have 135mm frame, you can tighten the QR tighter to close the gap.

Guys.. do you ride when it's sunny out? How's all of your riding schedule looks like? Do you drive to your riding spot?

I've tried starting my ride at 9am (100km+), and i think u can just imagine the suffering and time taken... Never again, and it did my skin a considerable damage

I really can't find time out of my schedule, and most of my available timeslot is on noon... or when the sun's coming up. I can find time to ride at night, but I really fell unsafe since there's lesser cars around... (ie.lesser car, more idiots will think they can get away doing stupid things to you)

If you have someone in Japan, why don't you ask him to dismantle the whole bike to bare bone and repack. The problem is not the weight as it is only 12kgs but the volumetric dimension of the box.

The carton is also quite heavy!    The folded bike is 35cm x 79cm x 88cm so my guess is the box is around 45cm x 89cm x 98cm , presume we add 5 cm to every side. That's about the size of a small 16 inch thick table top!    The new 2015 Dahon Dash marketed in Malaysia is a bit lighter too as they have switch back to caliper brakes instead of the disc brakes.  Consider buying one and then upgrade to 20 speed, could be cheaper. Do you want to try out the ride of a 20 speed Dash before comitting? I can let you ride mine. 

The new Dahon Dash 2015 specs are not very good and the price RRP is RM2998 which is way higher than last time. It uses Microshift RDs so the RD can just switch and the shifters can just be added onto the bull horn. The bullhorn that my wife's Performer is a Zipp replica(carbon fiber) and it cost me RM260 and the bar tape another RM100. Roadbike components are really expensive. The shifters are ven more expensive, a 10 speed Tiagra is almost RM400 , Shimano 105 RM600 and the Ultegra RM800 to sometimes RM1000 depending on the seller.

That's why many new riders don't understand why I am selling mine for RM4000 but has since went down to RM3500. Some even taunt me telling me that if he adds RM1700 for the 105 groupset + new bike RM3000 it is only RM4700 compared to an old Dash for RM3500. But he did not add in the superior and lighter rims, the Schwalbes, the Fizik bar grips, SR saddles, the QR pedals which might add up to another RM1000.

The cheapest 10 speed roadie components are the Shimano Tiagras and the SRAM Apex in which the Apex is priced higher but lower performance.

Tempting me to go to Thailand to get the Altena. How to get the Altena which cannot be folded as small as the other Dahons safely across by air?
I can only think of flying over to Bangkok and taking a train back to kl. The train ride will take 1 day and 7 hours.

Perhaps just get the 2015 dash and slowly convert it into an Altena. Cheaper and less hassle.

Mini velo fever. I agree with handsomedog the 2014 dash color is really awful.

I am new in folding bike. Currently I am looking for a bike that suits me (5'7") and my son (4'0"). We have tested a few bikes on display at malls, but found none that fits me and my kid. (Basically my kid's feet cannot touch the ground when seated.)

I intend to bring out the bike to taman and lake garden to ride with my kid. Any advise is very much appreciated.
