QUOTE(lonewolf @ May 24 2015, 01:10 AM) Anybody care to share how much does a shop tune a bike? Any shop recommended? Its a tern verge If you're in Klang, I'd happily recommend Sen Aik bike shop.. Friendly and very reasonable price.. Sent my road bike last time, and being RM80 only. Not sure whether they can do folding bike but I am quite sure they can. Just got bike won from competition. Having trouble tuning coz noob in bikes Anyway, the good thing about internal cable routing in a bike is that, it looks very nice. But for folding bike, when it is folded, it may stress the outer side of the cable.. In the case of mine, it was tear off » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This is dahon speed d8 This post has been edited by walikard: May 24 2015, 03:15 PM |

QUOTE(walikard @ May 24 2015, 03:27 PM) Sokong!!! It's just the outer casing of the housing. Won't affect the cable pull. Anyway, it's just a plastic piece. It's easy to file a bigger hole if one wants to. When I modded Dahon Vigor to accommodate an extra cable housing for the front D, I file it also and the Vigor ones is metal. |

QUOTE(anykti @ May 21 2015, 07:41 AM) since groupon screwed up the garion deals, i ordered these now: http://www.groupon.my/deals/national-deal/...hd-34/720225378 one yellow, one orange, hehe. QUOTE(anykti @ May 23 2015, 02:02 PM) The ride's stable, just the gears are hard to be tuned properly. My DIY pet baskets seems to be usable though, haha. good for you.. i bought exactly the same model for my wife.. just got it 2 days ago.. i found it hard to tune the gears and chain always fall off.. sent it to bicycle shop, they found it hard to tune it too (the guy blame the chainwheel/rd not match well) .. today me and my wife went cycling at putrajaya in the morning.. pity her only can play gear 2-5 only.. |

Takes some time to setup the gears with fine-tuning while cycling it. Need to align the rear derailleur properly. Able to use 1st to 5th nicely, just 6th prone to pull the chain out from the crank.P/S: Detached mudguards and rear rack for minimalist look and more compact folding. QUOTE(H2D @ May 23 2015, 09:53 PM) bapak hon stil haven't decide the final version of curl gua.. Hmmm.. I see that as another "copy" of the Brompton. Perhaps no one has come up with a new way to fold a bike hence all design revolves around the fold. This humpback design looks like it has a weird geometry, with seat post angle like that!this seems to be the latest pic i can find.... think they will go with the humpback version, when folded got space on the top tube for hand to grab. ![]() Presumably this is also with hub gears? |
