It defeat the purpose of Samsung change from Plastic Frame to Aluminium Frame.

I work in Telco industry and I'll share something that Note 4 and Note Edge owner doesn't like to hear, the antenna performance of these 2 units are poor. They don't meet my company's standard by 2-4dB depending on frequency and primary/secondary antenna.

In other words, Samsung S5, iPhone 6 and many other phones has better antenna.

A simple way to test is to use the same network for S5 and Note 4, put them side by side. Type in *#0011# and compare RSRP value. Note 4 and Note Edge will always show lower value (higher negative value).

Not sure if you know OSI 7 layer, antenna capability is related to PHY layer performance. 3G or 4G is above the PHY layer.

To put it simply, if the antenna is poor, the signal strength will be poorer (less bars on your phone). When you have less bars, the voice call quality and data rate of your data session (download, FTP, YouTube, Facebook, and etc) is affected.

An analogy would be, imagine the antenna is your ear drum. If you have very good ear drum, you can hear better. After you hear the sound, then only your brain starts to process the info. If your ear drum is bad, it's very hard to hear anything hence there's not much for the brain to process.

Its normal for revenue drop imo... Heavy competition nowadays...

They produce good phones, if they produce less heavy software, they might sell better...
Sometimes less is better than more... (Felt a little mehh...when i pressed home button on my friends note 3, and it went black for 0.5 sec and back to homescreen.. I felt this is a little cacat)

Dont wan to be labelled as samsung basher by those hardcore sammy fans, but i stand firm on my view touchwiz needs a revamp to be lighter software..

At least Samsung can program in a remark to warn real customers on this 1 hour time limit. You only know after you tap on it.

Hi all. How would you all manage the ram usage? I have disable quite number of App. But the ram usage will hit around 2gb. Once i boost the ram via clean master, the ram usage would decrease to 1.6gb. But it will goes over to 2gb after a while.... pls help

Ya... just idle mode with wifi on.... start at 2am and woke up 8:30am. Tested 3 times, the battery life is between 66% to 75%. And now i need to bring charger everyday.

I have the same battery drain problem too... It is better now after I unmounted the MicroSD. Not sure if the microSD have problem or the my note4 don't like it.

Hi. Im new here. Pls help me. I currently live at iium gombak. I have Note3 nad the new one Note4. I noticed some weird signal activities of my N4. Fyi, i use celcom, n always set to 3G network (to conserve battery usage). Technically my N4 signal strength only got around  -110db. But my Note 3 has higher than that, around -80 -> -90db. Sometimes my N4 got crazy and kept changing btwn 3bars to 1 bar, and if i was unlucky the network sign (3g, H...) fully disappeared. This sad story was discovered when I compared my new N4 with the old one N3. However, when sometimes I went home at shah alam, i turned on 4G, the signal was quite ok compared to my N3, it was jus the same gain of the network signal. I didnt see any trmendous difference btween both of them actually in 4G.
I made a call to samsung customer srvic, and huh they taught me how to do from A-Z, soft reset, safe mode, deleting bla bla (cliche...), but nothing worked! Finally they gave up n told me to come up with my N4 to any service centre for further inspection... Too sad, I have been expecting a higher reception quality from this or at least the same level as N3 has. For the time being, Im quite afraid of downloading bigger files in case of network interuption from the poor data reception.
Help me!

Btw, got a question for those with the Gear Circle... do you get those static or interrupted audio when playing music while you're walking or jogging. The Note 4 is in my trouser pocket. The problem reduced when I moved it to my shirt pocket. Cheers.
