So advisable to tint outside?

Somehow I have the feeling the SA is trying to recoup some of the rebate he gave by getting me to tint with him. All the tints he recommended are 50% more expensive that the ones quoted outside.  doh.gif
*
Normally the items that will void is rear demister, water come in to interior cabin or rubber seal broken due to mishandling by tinting film.

tint outside, may be cheaper, and you can see and know what film they are using on your car,
SA tint, can quote you 1.5k, give you film worth of rm800, 700 masuk pocket brows.gif

Question is, does Honda Malaysia even provide warranty for car defects for tintings done recommended by their SA? My SA says as long as I get tint from his branch, he can get his PDI department to close one eye should there's any defects resulted from the tinting.

Exactly the situation I'm afraid, and the fact that the tint he recommended is 1.5 times of the quotation I asked around outside.

If call HM, definately they will void your car warranty for the windows area. Please do remember only the particular branch recognize the warranty but not other branches. Anything only refer back to this SA.

gotta get back some money after giving it all out for the rebate, lol
easy solution, just tell him that you've used all your money on something else, and will probably be eating grass after getting the car tinted, maybe he'll go easy on you biggrin.gif

So the only decision to be made is that whether I can trust the SA to hold onto his words should anything happened?

PIAA silicone wiper seems Goding with Goding price also @@" ....
Anyhow, where to get it? What is the size if i'm going to purchase it? Which model recommended? I don't think it come Car Manufacture specific rather than measurement in CM.

In fact, you can't trust anyone in any branch. When comes to problem...all throw back to customer. What you need to do is send outside for tinting but make sure check the electronic part to ensure all function as per normal.

previous car is a viva with only 17k insured, not sure what percentage is on the NCD, claimed once before
*
Sum insured 17K,sure worth transferring out the NCB to your new car.
But since you have make an insurance claim under the current policy ,then definitely the NCB will be zeroed.
Unless it is a OD-KFK claim meaning the third party is at fault.
Then you might have a chance.

wait, are we talking about the same thing, NCD as in Non Claim Discount or something else ?
renewed the insurance policy for the viva acouple months back in september, there's a discount, can't remember the exact percentage, but i think it's 25% or 35%, insurance claiming was back in 2011

Yea, we are. Some term it as No Claim Bonus or Discount . Both are the same.

On the NCD percentage, it start off with 25% then 30%,38.33%,45% and lastly 55%.
Anyway in your case, I would believe it will be worth while to transfer the NCD from Viva to your new car.

Let me know, and I will gladly guide you on the process.
