How long can your battery last? Aprox 1 hour?
Refill mean we try whatever way possible, to restore you battery life to 80% to 120% compare to a new battery if posible.

Of course, it need to open you battery and do some operation, this is very famous in some country (even DIYer) but quite new in Malaysia.

Ya, safety is a problem. Even battery big brother-Sony make mistaken.
There are certain risk. We do each battery untill very high level of carefullness. All the connection that possible resulting in short circuit will be isolated. And the protection circuit in the battery will prevent overcharge/overdischarge, if the protection circuit not functioning, we will return the battery back to customer, never modify it to force it functioning under uncertain boundary.

I don't sell new battery, if you want a refilled one, just tell me the model.

Imposible. With the size of your battery. It is the maximum Capacity/Weight already within current Li-ion battery technology. You battery pack using 2*2400mAH Sanyo redcap. We maximum able to make it almost 100% close to it original performance only.

After Sony out, Dell adapt Sanyo.

But in fact a refilled battery is not always recomanded. It involve certain risks. We try to reduce the risks to minimum. So user can just treat it as a "new" battery.

But please note that it is not a new battery.
The circuit board inside the battery pack have cycle life. Once it exhaust
not function anymore). User may feel disappointed. But don't worry, this only happen on 1~3% of customer according to my pass experience. The revival work was done overnight. I got my battery back the next day conveniently. Great workmanship as there is no "prying" marks on the battery casing. It's as if you got yourself a new battery but at a fraction of the price....

Practice make perfert, more than 40% battery pack can be opened with not "prying" mark if user are not in hurry. Another 40% can be opened with very little mark and 15% with very noticeble mark. 1%~5% of it is very dificuit to be open and thus break into pieces (I will info user before I try to open).

Engineer decided the minimum number of cells required for specified device. The battery pack must be able to output enough power for the device to comsume or else the battery are forced to operate and will die soon due to overheated.

can it be refilled or need to be changed to a new one?

This will be discuss with customer. They must give a reason how a refilled battery can cause any unwanted disaster to laptop.

Any random accident happen after the battery refilled can not be directly related to battery.

Added on May 20, 2007, 8:20 pmI suggest you get a new one if avalaible, refill is only your last strategy. Off course it can be refilled. This is an 8 cells battery pack.

No, I am not familiar with camera' battery....

I wonder if you can 'increase' the total capacity for my Acer TravelMate 3200 series (3202XCi to be exact) battery by replacing the cells cause it currently has a wear level around 38% which is giving me low batt warnings in around two hour with careful usage.. It's designed capacity is 4800mWh, not sure about the voltage, gotta recheck it later..

Capacity is very high already. Can not be increased, we only able to make it close to you original.

Designed Capacity is 48000mWHr or 4800mAH? There are never 4800mWh....
Desined Voltage is 11.1V. 6 cells.

hi. i hv 2 batteries that came with my notebook (Asus M3000N). battery 1 spoilt fr day 1, cannot charge at all. battery 2 , when it was new battery life was abt 3.5hrs. now (9 mths later), 1.5hrs +-. each time i charge the battery 2, it doesn't take charge to 100% but instead, stops at abt 40%, sometimes 70%. in order to make it load to 100%, i hv to consciously unplug and refresh the charging. only this way can I make it charge. i'm not sure what's happening but i hope you can help me and advise me. Tks.

1 question can my battery upgrade to 8 cells 14.8v 4800mAH?

First battery is usually becoz of dead cells or imbalanced cell
Second battery is because you didin't make the battery go through qualified charge/discharge cycle. This can always be solve by let the battery charge for a long period, if it stay at 40%, just let charge longer untill it reach 100% and then let it discharge to less than 3%. Do this a few time will clear the digital memory effect of your battery. If it never reach 100%, it mean the battery can never meet fully charged condition set by the manufacturer, should this occur, there are serious cells imbalanced impedence exist due to wear and tear.

If the second battery do reach 100% after long time charge, I can correct you battery problem without open your battery, just reflash the battery data. Else, I can make it back to normal by balancing you battery cells.(But I think it won't last long , may be sustance for another months for smooth charge/discharged experiences).

14.8V 4800mAH only can achieved with size 18650.

We not able to put in bigger cells into the plastic housing of your battery, even if we do so, you will fail to slot it into your laptop...

Wow, super interested!! Mine's is Acer Aspire 1682, it's a Sanyo battery, 14.8v 4400mahr. Can i enlarge the mAh of the battery? Even ori condition is not enuff for me ^^ yuppie! no need buy new notebook adi!! lolz

Can be tried but not 100% garrantted this can be done cause there are some of this using different fuel gauge integrated circuit which beyond my capable to handle.

Can the battery still back up power for a short period?

Capacity upgrade is quite difficuit on modern laptop which comsumpt larger peak power. It won't make big different even if I put in 4800mAH cells in total. 8 cells in total will give you 4400mAH. RM219.

My hardware info program telling that my battery wear level is 25% now, before this its 14% only but when i deeply discharge the batt then recharge to full i really got shock the wear level increase to 25%! i thought it will decrease this is really annoying me. I make a deep discharge bcoz i read some battery caring tips but this kind happened. Can u reset the wear level back to zero and make it fully chargeable as the same capacity of the battery designed. Thanks.

By the time you do a deep discharge and fully charge, the battery doing self calibration and update the wear level. This is normal for all battery, no one can expect a battery with wear level of 0% after a few months of usage.

Please note that no any charging method can recover lithium ion type of battery in view of it real performance.

Just send it to ALTBATTERY to refill after it wear level reach unacceptable level.

Many people asking me for high capacity cells, I will say not recomanded, high capacity is not as safe as low capacity battery, especially those reach 2600mAH/cells. The high desity of the cells required elctrode and dielectric from very thin material, this tend to puncture the dielectric (if the electrode deform due to wear and tear) and result in internal short circuit. Although the rate of happen is very very low.

Never look for the best, instead, look for suitable. In the other word, suitable is the best.

I'm using a 5 year old Acer TravelMate 272X and the battery is obviously dead now. It's rated as 8 cell 14.8V 3900mAH Li ion battery which is made by Panasonic.

So I wonder if it is "refueled", will it be 3900mAH or will it be different since you said that the new 4800mAH Li-ion battery is available now.

my batt symptom, cannot fully charge it only charged to 96% but when not in use it will discharge itself, next time on(after 12hours) saw it became 34%.

am i need to refill my battery? how much for it?
