how long does it take to change the battery?

My laptop model is Benq S31V (battery model SQU-409)
It lasts for about 1 hr.
Can it be upgraded so that it last longer? Add more capacity/ cells etc?
And please state the price too.

Sony battery K.O. already. The laptop won't work if it's not connected to the DC power supply and the Fujitsu one last for only 30-45 mins even when the capacity is written as 5400mAh...

Quote me the price for both (increase the capacity/cell numbers).

Battery Capacity get 9 % increase in theory
( 53258 mWh / 48840 mWh ) + 9.04 %

But actual the battery was 44000 when i 1st got it
( 53258 mWh / 44000 mWh ) +21.04 %

I was using Win Xp Sp3 the
old Capacity around 68 ~ 70 minutes
NEW Capacity around 80 min { about 10 ~ 12 min more }
( Estimated only - when everything running Win 7 show 80 Min)

With Win 7 normal internet surfing it can last me 3 hr +

Actually most people do not really need battery for their laptop, I guess less than 10% people will look for a battery for laptop, except those always bring it out, most people use it as desktop replacement only and laptop nowadays is so cheap, unlike cellphone, battery is not an essential part for it to function.

hello tt...how much asus 1000h battery?...by the way...my old battery original in box with 1000h model was "kembung"...is it still ok or can explode?...or cant use anymore?...i wasn't use the battery for long time coz i took off from the laptop since i normally used elect...but today just noticed it was "kembung"...is it the possible cause it happen?...tq....

I have a Dell 1720 laptop which uses GK479 type battery, 6 cells and 56Wh capacity. Normally the battery is stick to the computer with the charger on all the time so I hardly discharge it and it's less than 100 times like what you mentioned. It's already 3 years plus and recently my charger spoilt and I saw a warning requesting me to change my notebook battery in the power management in Win7.

I would like to know whether if sending it to you for discharging service will works for me without the need of replacing it?

Even if it work, it won't work for too long before it spoilt again. Longe aged cell have larger impedance.

I'm glad I didn't go for the overpriced original battery, not to mention that they only have black colour while my laptop is white.
The battery last up to 3 hours during normal usage (wireless internet surfing with WMP playing and microsoft word open).
It lasts about slightly more than 3.5 if I just use microsoft office, which is really nice for a student.
I don't have to hunt for power outlets when doing discussions anymore.
My father was also very happy with the battery too. He wasn't very keen on 'realt-ing' but he changed his mind straightaway after he get back the battery since he didn't have to carry the AC cable even when giving out a 2 hours lecture with LCD hooked up to it.

Very good service too! I didn't wait long at all. Posted on Thursday, he got it on Friday, and even when he said it'll take some time since he got some batteries to work on, he had posted it back to me by Monday and I got it on Tuesday.
