Introduction

Ohh right, a headset from Armaggeddon sure it's a shitty one but wait! In this review I wanna prove to you guys (especially Razer gayboys tongue.gif ) that this headset is comparable to other famous yet expensive headsets out there. Off we go to the review rclxms.gif

Unboxing

A nice purple box. Well that's a colour that I rarely see on a headset box these days

Back side of the box. Look at those flags cool2.gif

A Closer Look

White and purple. A perfect combination, I guess biggrin.gif

White on the outside purple on the inside and look at that dang thick ear cushion

user posted image
Foldable microphone with the branding on it

user posted image
Did I mention that it GLOWS? Yes it glows bright purple light on the both side of the headset rclxms.gif

Gold platted USB connector with braided cable

Glowing volume adjuster. It's big too

Thoughts

The sound quality is surprisingly good. Compared to my Steelseries Siberia V2 and Asus Cerberus that I reviewed before, I could say that this headset has almost the same sound quality produced with the bass, clarity and balance of those 2. Well except for Asus Cerberus because it has too much bass before tweaking around with sound equalizer. Despite of it's a 7.1 headset, I can confirm that the surround effect are just good enough and acceptable for a budget gaming headset. Thumb up on that Armaggeddon thumbup.gif

Now on to the bad part *sigh*. Armaggeddon told me the reason why this headset is so cheap because they cut down the cost for the design and that's good. The thing is, the design is so bulky and big. There are many cheap non-gaming headsets out there but they still can maintain the 'just nice' size. Also, the colour. Purple is already nice but with white? Bad choice Armaggeddon. As a person who easily get sweat from just playing games (serious talk) the sweat could make this white-purple headset turn into brownish-purple. The design is already not nice and the sweat stain will make it look worse doh.gif

EDIT: Actually the headset offers 3 different colours which are YELLOW-BLACK, RED-BLACK and PURPLE-WHITE.

The microphone, unfortunately, it is unadjustable. I won't even complain about it if I can adjust it near to my mouth.

Verdict

Put that negative remarks aside, it is still a good headset though. Well what do you expect from a budget gaming headset? But I'm sure Armaggeddon can improve their design at the same time lowing the cost. The most important is the sound quality. I was very surprised when I first put it on my ears and opening Assassin's Creed Unity, boom! It's like wearing a premium headset. Ohh and I didn't use any sound effect or tweaking the equaliser just to let you guys know. Great job Armaggeddon rclxms.gif

Very few people owned this headset because, you know. More expensive item means more better right? Even if they do they won't sell it. Better just throw it into the storeroom and let it rot tongue.gif

Hey there. I just wanna know, does the headphones come with an audio jack converter? I mean, the headphone use USB, what if I want to plug it into my phone/mp3/PS Vita? Is there a way to do so? Moreover, can I use this headphones with my PS3?

Thanks m8. (P/S: I'm just a noob in everything.)

I should warn people that these are pure garbage. mad.gif I bought 2 pairs in lowyat about 6 months ago. One for myself, one for my son. My son stopped using his 3 months ago as the cable contacts near the cup is dropping connections. I've used mine only a few times, and lately I've been using them just for music on my laptop, and the usb plug connection keeps dropping out constantly.

They are way overpriced garbage. My advice is to get a good sound card, like the Asus Xonar, and then get a good pair of regular headphones.

bro, perhaps you can send the headset for claim warranty at their office at Sunway Damansara. Within one hour can be done.

Unfortunately, I'm Kuching, so that precludes this happening in one hour. But thanks for the info, I'll swing by with them next time I'm around there.
