anyone tried the Best Skins Ever skin yet? does it work well with cases? thinking of getting it to protect my phone in the casing

saw some videos just now; the case-optimized option does not cover the top, sides and bottom unlike the normal one. worried that sides might get scratched when i change to the Little Pocket Book from Pad & Quill.

my Pad & Quill Little Pocket Book is here! took about a week to arrive. this will replace my Bookbook (used it on my previous phone) as of now

yeah they have 3; the Little Pocket Book (mine), Luxury Pocket Book (almost everything is the same with the Little Pocket Book except the outer leather material. it has a smooth surface rather than the grooved surface that is on the Little Pocket Book) and the Bella Fino (it is a stick-on wallet case which makes the phone slightly exposed but is thinner than the two models). that's the thing about the Little/Luxury Pocket Book; you have to sacrifice the thinness and looks of the iPhone 6 for the case itself. i don't mind as i prefer the protection it provides (solid wood surround the phone, so it won't bend the phone and will protect the edges and sides) and the function (i keep misplacing my wallet so having this case as my wallet is really helpful). as a wallet booklet, it already nice by itself. it also looks and feels durable.

as for the Bookbook, i've used one myself. unfortunately compared to Pad & Quill, the leather is not stitched on the folding crease and it is quite thin. my Bookbook ended up being torn wide open outside, exposing the cardboard (i think, i'm not sure what to call it) and the sponge. the Pad & Quill on the other hand is a curved fold, like a wallet. the Bookbook is like a book, where there are 2 folding crease which is susceptible to tears (like i experienced). that's why i avoided using Bookbook again due to the potential tear that may occur at the crease.

yeah it's quite thick. the only thing making the thickness worthwhile is the thought of not having the phone bend in my pocket haha. previously i was using Spigen's Ultra Hybrid. i thought it was a solid bumper with back protection but it turned out to be somewhat like a hardened silicone case. so i was still worried. the Bookbook is not as bulky as this though, but it seems less durable compared to this. the last time i used it on my 4S, it tore wide open..

definitely a nice combo; wallet, case and kickstand. seriously did not expect it to be detachable as a case. really awesome. but it looks like it can't hold that many bills though; maybe 2-3 only before it'll tear at the folded crease outside. so for you guys that'll buy this case, avoid stuffing too many bills.

and what is up with this GUIDELINES? won't this affect full coverage glass screen protectors? since they need to provide a lip for the front..

yeah full coverage glass SPs are not compatible with quite a number of cases. unless you're like me, get a case that is compatible and never change between cases. just stick to one. if you like changing cases, then get a regular coverage glass sp.

ah alright that's cool. going more for the looks eh. i was aiming more for function (need the case to act more as a wallet than a looker) so yeah different priorities. still, the Bookbook looks really beautiful

Yeah i used the Ultra Hybrid before using my Pad & Quill. It's a really nice case; corner-impact protection, has four nubs (don't know what to call it, it's that thing at the back that avoids direct contact on a flat surface) to balance the back surface, protects buttons and the bottom (not exposed like some cases yet compatible with most earphone jacks), see through back and feels solid for a silicone-ish (i'm not sure what material it uses but it feels like silicone) case. Would easily recommend it and use it myself had it not been for the Pad & Quill (or Bookbook if i hadn't seen the Pad & Quill).

This IS my wallet haha. My previous wallet which I got as a gift is big and wide. I also have the tendency of misplacing my wallet. So getting this wallet case has been one of the best decisions i've made. Extremely useful and functional. No need for wallets anymore. Plus it secures and protects my phone (even bending haha)

i'm using it (bought it from Dino89). You have to carefully install it though; the width is exactly the same as the display's width so you might leave a portion of the display uncovered. The tight fit might be because of the curve. Other than that, it is good. Though I have to warn you about the smudges that may be created as a result of intense gaming. after playing Injustice a couple of hours the screen can get smudged pretty easily, but only at the swiping area. The rest looks clean. Not sure if this applies to this particular brand or all brands..
