This synth is really versatile in that it can produce sounds suitable for music genres such as dubstep, electro, experimental, industrial, indie rock, ambient, progressive, trance, dnb, etc.
Manufactured around 2001 but still solid and relevant today as the build quality is superb and the sounds are editable.
Sonic texture and characteristics vary from lush, warm and deep (like analog) to cold, brittle and hard.
Lots of possibilities by presets or some of your own patches. Deep editing is possible so be prepared to read the manual and research online for patch authoring tips.
It can emulate traditional instruments (such as piano, organ and brass) with limited success but if that's what you're looking for, you're better off getting a keyboard arranger with standard GM sounds.
Six configurable 1/4 inch (TRS) outputs and a stereo input for processing external sounds. The vocoder is decent but I didn't play with it enough to make a proper evaluation.
