I just help my friend flash Nexus 10 lollipop factory image.
I don't know what went wrong or it's meant to be that way.
But the Nexus 10 felt really slow and laggy. It never impressed me during kitkat. Even a phone like note 3 Neo is faster and consistently smoother.

I thought lollipop will improve performance. But it's felt same only.
Even scroll home screen isn't really smooth. 0 apps installed btw. Fresh full wipe from factory image.

Not sure what to expect for one plus. Where do you guys get first hand news for oneplus? Last time I check from sammobile for Samsung phone. Oneplus got official news channel?
*
I've been using Lollipop cm12 for almost a week now, feels smoother than cm11s and I'm sure u guys will be glad after the official version comes out.

Is there anyone else here using CM12 besides me? Would be good to share some feedbacks. So far I can say it's very stable but has some minor problems, for some reason WhatsApp and Wechat voice recording does not work, but Viber and Facebook messenger works fine. Other than that, very stable and at this stage it is very close to Nexus experience.

Used for 2 days, the location got some bug. Once I enable high accuracy it stays there even when I force close all app.
*
The early builds have more bugs but the current ones ie. from Nov 25 onwards works fine, overall I prefer it over cm11s even at this early stage. Cm12 official and 12s will be something special to look forward to.

QUOTE(mtxx @ Nov 29 2014, 08:25 AM)
If you have the money, and don't know what is cyanogenmod.
Buy note 4. You won't regret it.

There are many compromise to own the one plus. But the most positive part is the price. It's very very  worth the money for the product it deliver. Many benefit of one plus only attract enthusiasts, normal user won't appreciate it at all.

One plus camera is good but it's nowhere compared to note 4 camera. It have deep trouble focusing on close and small object. Video recording doesn't have auto focus. If use 3rd party camera, auto focus kicks in too often spoiling the video. Hdr always end up too warm and takes time to process. One note 4 have instant hdr, and optical stabilization too.

Vibration on oneplus is a cheap model. The vibration is decently strong but the sound it makes when vibrating is the loudest I've heard. Place it on the table and it makes very loud noise. I duno how the vibration works on note 4. But based on my previous Samsung device. Their vibration is strong and not so noisy.

Oneplus Don't have s pen. You need to go through many steps to be able to draw on a screenshot. Oneplus will always lack this hardware feature.

No infrared blaster. Means  no remote control. With 3rd party app, note 4 can control any TV, Fan, air con etc. Some really convenient and cool.

Bigger storage. 32gb internal and SD card support

Based on browsing test by phone arena, note 4 battery life is superior by a wide margin.

Amoled screen will impress any normal people. In forum people will condemn amoled say it's not accurate. But in real life every one I know love bright and vibrant screen.

Samsung branding. U using note 4 at least for a year people will know you are rich and using the most expensive and best phone available currently. One plus will forever remain unknown, some may confuse it with oppo and one fella even ask if mine is a China phone. Haiz.

Slow charging. One plus takes 2 hours from zero to 100. About 1% a minute from 0-90% and another 30 mins from 0%-100%. Note 4 got quick charging.

Accessories. One plus is non existent. Only can buy online. Even so choices are limited. About 10 available type only. Nilkin, diztronic, cruzerlite, tudia, unbranded tpu, Imax, ori one plus flip case and hard case. For Samsung. Every where also got case. Should have more than hundred variants of cases.

Overall my choice is oneplus. I don't regret using it. Because the price and my preference for aosp style rom outweighs all the cons. But if price is not a problem for u, and you don't fancy cyanogenmod, then go buy the note 4.

Note, this is just my own opinion. Your experience may vary.
*
I don't agree with people thinking you are rich by having a Note 4. It's just a normal rm1k+ phone like any other. Samsung has never been known as an upmarket phone, just a phone with many features and cheap plastic build, but lately it has been improving.

If u want to be noticed, get the gold plated iPhone for starters and slightly up the scale Vertu phones costing rm30k onwards.

I need feedbacks from users who are using unofficial CM12 firmware or roms based on it
I am using Liquidrom version for 2 days already ( latest 28 NOV version)
No serious bugs encountered yet but is comparatively less smooth vs CM11s
Most of my commonly used apps works well without issues. Android 5.0 I understand is on new Android runtime ART and no more Dalvik as before
Only issue I find its notification details is very much less vs CM11s
Overall the firmware is very much leaner but as developer said is meant to be so until the official versions available. I supposed his purpose is to reduce bugs
*
I've been using cm12 for over a week now, currently using nov30 unofficial from XDA , it's 99% AOSP as I also have my fiancé's Nexus 5 on Android L to compare, except OPO has a few more bugs eg voice recording for wechat and WhatsApp not working.

Feels smooth to me though, everyday there are 2 updates so it's constantly improving. Other than the WhatsApp and Wechat problem the rest of my apps work.

I restored through TWRP CM11s v44 firmware late last night. Was on Liquidsmooth CM12 for 2 days. Reasons of reverting back - noted very much higher battery drain approximately 50% more. On even standby mode with just 3g on the drain averages 1%/hour.  I had tried all tricks known by me but it hardly improve . And Material design so highly praised was most unappealing
Will wait for official CM release which I read will be up soon
*
Battery drain for me is the same as cm11s but your problem may be due to the Liquidsmooth alpha rom which is in very early stage even before Beta. Even with stock cm12 ROM although there are updates twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

At this stage we cannot expect it to be running perfectly until official release of cm12, one bug fixed may result in 3 new bugs appearing, so user beware. The good thing about the daily builds is that you can dirty flash it over the previous build without any data loss, so you will notice its evolution every new update.

Tell you what buddy, the only differences between Global and China version are the Cyanogen logo and English lettering on the box.

The rest are all the same, hardware and what is included wise.

99% of the time it's in a case anyway and even with Cynogen nobody knows what phone it is unless those who reads about it online.

IPad 4 and IPad air charger is 5.2V 2.4A. Much higher than what OPO uses 5V 2A.

Not good to use for long term. Sure phones have built in circuit to prevent over charge. But it will be warmer during charging. And certainly not good for its battery in the long term.

You might not notice since u change phone so often.

But for those who use their phone as long term daily driver, use stock adapter, or another adapter that has same Voltage and current output.
*
You do know that chargers are not 100% efficient. So a 2.4v if running at 80-85% efficiency will still only run at 2v, and a 2v charger will seldom reach 2v.

i dislike to put on case it makes it look bulky! i will just buy a swappable case if anything happens to the ori case.

I saw from google they use an earphone jack 3.5mm and a tool to remove the case. damn risky.
*
Once u drop your phone once or accidentally bump it on a hard surface then u will know how important is a case.

If u use naked I recommend getting a pouch to put it in when not in use.

Yes for me the good thing about OPO is not because of CM11s but more of the wide variety of Roms available without the risk of voiding warranty.

So far for me only small complaints about OPO :-

1) weak modem reception - my fiance's Nexus 5 constantly outperforms the OPO in any location. At times I only get E while Nexus 5 next to me gets H+.

2) Bezels can be reduced to improve single hand use.

3) Use more long lasting materials especially for the plastic chrome .

Where can I buy this phone? I been searching and they only sell AP set. I want original one with Cyanogen logo...
*
They are all original, in most cases as long as u buy it from reputable resellers. Cynogen or no Cynogen doesn't make a difference.

Hot Chick won't know how important the CyanogenMod Logo. You should put a Apple logo Sticker on the back. Tell them this is iPhone 6 Plus S. laugh.gif
*
Haha I also wonder why need to be so PMS with Cynogen logo, general public will still consider it a China phone or ask u if it is an OPPO. As long as u r happy with it that's the most important thing.

I'm more concerned about #1.
You turn me off leh...

Yes u need to aware especially if using Digi, not sure about others though.

I tried using Vietnam Mobifone while overseas for both Nexus 5 and OPO also same result, geram Nexus 5 old phone still has better signal.

Sometimes its just modem. I dont see any difference in signal strength, kinda same for my Opo/G2/S4
*
It's very obvious for my case its poor reception, not just modem drivers. I've tried all the modems, m11 is the most stable but still not as strong as the Nexus 5. Before when I was using LG G2 and Xiaomi Mi3 in the same areas also I had better reception, so far OPO reception is one of the weaker ones compared to other phones that I've tested, noticeable especially in less than optimal reception areas like near the hill or inside buildings.

Oneplus one has a serious contender now that ships worldwide with all around better specs and almost the same price :-
https://www.xodiom.com/

Let's hope it materialise. Please don't send any money though, at the moment it sounds too good to be true.

Whatsapp notifications for me, need to manually set it in the app itself, it wont follow the in-settings.

Candy came with Dark Material or that sux-white? I really need some dark theme now. Euphoria seems fine tho
*
Yes it's the same for all the 5.01 Roms at the moment, they haven't fixed voice message recording for WhatsApp and we chat. Viber and Facebook messenger works fine though.
