Hi sifu2 semua,
wanna ask, the boeffla kernal NG or non-NG, which is compatible for slimkat? i saw from the description that NG means next generation/purely samsung codes. but what does it means? QUOTE FAQ This post has been edited by calvin_kenni: Jan 10 2015, 12:19 PMQ) For CM and Omnirom there are normal kernels and a so called "NG" kernel, what is the difference? A) NG stands for "Next Generation". As only difference, it uses pure Samsung kernel source code only, not the smdk4412 kernel sources of the CM or Omnirom team. As the CM and Omnirom kernel developers did lots of tweaking and also their own upstream to quite old Samsung sources, the NG pure Samsung kernel sources should considered to be "cleaner". |
