I think I did backup my EFS only and got a .img file. So I have to at least restore it first? Sorry I am new to this.
EDIT: I restored my EFS but still in my About->IMEI Information it displays 2 unknowns.. any way to fix this/? EDIT2: Say I didn't backup my EFS..what should I do to proceed... This post has been edited by Steven7: Jul 30 2015, 06:09 PM |

Thanks to @surefire v LED. I've managed to restore my EFS. But I have another problem. I have reverted everything to stock ROM and everything works, IMEI is correct and SIM is working. So I again flashed to AD3.1, then the SIM is not detected. But the IMEI stays and is still correct though. Any help please?

I have tried reboot and reflashing..seems like custom ROMs simply wont detect my SIM. The only ROM that detects my SIM is the latest stock ROM. So every time I will start flashing custom ROM from that point, and once I boot into custom ROM its either SIM wont get detected or IMEI gets unknown.
I tried this, at working custom ROM I use TWRP backup /EFS. Flashed custom ROM. IMEI unknown. Restore the /EFS backup made earlier. But still to no success. |

QUOTE(buukarim @ Aug 1 2015, 04:48 PM) Are you sure u have the correct recovery? Last time i had this problem,, i accidentally download twrp for another type of s3. Yet make my sim unusable with custom rom But even when I am on stock ROM I am using TWRP 2.8.6 and the SIM works. Is there any other reason why the SIM only works on stock ROM? |

QUOTE(buukarim @ Aug 1 2015, 10:12 PM) For which device? Are u sure it is for i9300? As for me. Last time i flash stock with odin and then flash recovery. Sim still working but after i flash custom rom with that recovery, error cant detect sim appear, and imei unknown This is the stock ROM I9300XXUGML3_I9300OLBGML3_I9300DXUGMK1_HOME.tar.md5 that works. So in the end how do you fix the issue? what is the root cause of your problem exactly? In fact when I flashed AD3.1 to my i9300 my IMEI and baseband are correct but somehow I got the No service error. |

QUOTE(normeck @ Aug 2 2015, 03:44 PM) Ok you won't believe this. Originally I have given up but I saw your reply so I turned on my i9300 to try your fix, but without even trying your fix, it works...SIM is detected. I have tried reboot, power off for few hours the other day but not a damn thing works. Now it works without any fix...so thanks guys.BTW, although it works now (and I have made a full nandroid backup) but when I flashed the ROM last time, I untick Xposed just to save that lil bit amount of time. Now I wanna install Xposed manually as I was too afraid to reflash it again. I just wanna ask the Xposed originally included in AD3.1, is it the same with the one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/sup...xposed-t3072979 ? I wanna try to follow the instructions there. |

Hey guys, just realized a problem on my i9300 AD3.1 where my GPS is not functional at all. Did some search and some guy say it may be a Baseband version issue where I am using i9300DXUGMK1. Did you guys face any GPS issue with this baseband or how to I update to new baseband?

Thanks but my GPS was working in Stock Samsung ROM, it only stops working when I flashed AD3.1 into it and I may have flashed some old modem firmware into it, causing the GPS not working. Does anyone have any more ideas?

But I am doing fine with AD3.1 and I loved it, don't want back to be using stock ROM. By the way, I should be more clear when I said GPS isn't working, I downloaded GPS Status and it shows that my GPS signal keeps dropping, thereby making it unusable.
EDIT: Solved by tightening the screws. Its locking faster than ever now. This post has been edited by Steven7: Aug 19 2015, 09:28 PM |

QUOTE(normeck @ Aug 21 2015, 08:41 PM) Sorry I don't have any idea on that issue. BTW on AD3.1 did realize incoming call wakes up my screen too slowly, is that the issue you're facing as well?BTW, yeah I tightened the screws on the back of my phone and voila. |

Just saw an update to AD3.1.2. Just out of curiosity, how to I update to that version. Fetching, downloading and reflash it?
