Whollie smoke the smartdroid v1.3 + boeffla kernel + xposed is slicky fast - will monitor battery usage & performance as a whole.
But upon restart it is a bit slow but after that you're on FF7 - serious no joke.
The best thing is you can choose the bloats separetly in aroma via TWRP.
Try it - no regret.

My S3 has been slow and even auto-restarts sometimes. Any light, with good battery consumption ROM that you guys recommend? Bug-free will also be a good point. Not looking for performance or feature heavy ROM.
*
Just wait for latest NCS rom or look for Smart Droid 4.3 these 2 are the best & lightest Jelly Bean ROM for S3.

Haxynox right now is the only non CM/AOSP based work with a working rear cam but still borked Instagram. Rear cam works every boot but critically at the moment also marred by this weird can't be off charged that's normally associated with stock Samsung kernel(s) on n00t/b2n. Needs more testers to logcat if anyone here is up for it. So now back on NCSROM v18.0 and just mod xposed the damned thing to get proper sanity back.

Pissing me off having to read about these newer leaked Samsung models w/ 1GB RAM but 5.1.1 preloaded on crappy 8GB internal (not exactly an upgrade over our i9300 now is it?).
*
To me due to hardware limitation of the S3 the best rom suited it is the lightest JellyBean - 444/L5/443 - all stuttering after some time - initially it was good but once the cache has build up its buggy here and there - so now I understand why Samsung doesn't implement KK to S3.

Kinda went with it because I'd assumed this is the GOF1 base dkionline used for NCSROM v18.0. So far so good. Plus needed a proper official as backup should flashplunking goes haywire. Xposed + GB JB works fine. Waiting for dkionline's 18.5 too. He moved the base up to 4.4.2 apparently thus why need to have this firmware ready.
*
i think NCS 18.5 is not much different to Arter's B2N - I'm kind of disappointed i thot dkionline is gonna polish further the 4.3 base rom.

Hungry yet people? lol don't start the camp fire just yet fellas. I wouldn't touch this for say a month or 3 after an alpha build unless you're really really sure what you're signing up for, know how/what a logcat, dmesg means and not expect a daily driver.

There's enough ongoing L snafus to get rid of so let's sort those out 1st.

If I wanna flash new ROM, how do I ensure my data (pic, contacts, password, whatsapp, etc) can be transferred? Still using titanium?
*
you copy those folders WhatsApp,DCIM,Telegram tp pc or memory card.
backup your sms, contacts, call logs, calendars, bookmarks using Super Backup Pro (<<<<please ensure to choose external storage) you are good to go.
After the flashing is completed transfer back those folders to internal phone memory - install back Super backUp Pro - restore back your sms, contacts, call logs, calendars, bookmarks (go to setting & locate back the backup folders)
As for the password - you have to write it manually and save it word document.
Go to Samsung Galaxy Apps - register - download the legal Microsoft Office Pack from there (Samsung & Microsoft has agreed to work together so the Microsoft Office Pack is as good & legal as in the Windows environment) and you are good to go.

Currently using NCS 18.5. Works perfectly fine thanks to you for recommended that rom. Hehe. Now you said CM12.1 also good. May I know which one? From Archi or temasek or else? Wanna try it too. hehe. Thanks!  notworthy.gif  brows.gif

Hold on I get the link for you - reason is I just flashed another rom on my N4
Here it is - S3 CM12.1
Remember not to restore your apps in this CM rom - it is prohibited - you have to reinstall your apps manually - even restoring your apps via PlayStore during the initial setup is also prohibited.
Best of luck.
