Weather - I use Chronus.
Wallpaper / Themes - Android N & Galaxy S7 CM Theme
Icon pack - Note 7 icon pack.
Camera got FC but I use camera restarter from PS now ok.

Haha.. I will upgrade when custom rom developers no longer support s3.. the next device I have must have good custom rom support as well..

use latest nightly or snapshot? kernel?

This one - the best thing I like about this rom is the ambient display - exactly like SGN3 Aryamod.

Hyper rom is quite bloated when I tried last time. Revert back to amcha after playing around for a while.

Hi all,

This is the first time I tried custom rom, so I'm really a n00b. I did not manage to get the network ie celcom after trying few things. I based on my reading it got something to do with the modem thinggy but I tried few custom rom but still can't.

Tried using cynogenmod, AMCHA rom and back-n00t_ROM, all did not manage to get connection using sim card. Any advise?

Oh hard luck la you friend should have back up your efs with Samsung Tools from XDA - very simple.
Anyway you may try this and please read slowly and understand it and get all the tools ready

Flash stock rom with odin 1st may be?

But the smoothness not on par with amcha rom.. that's why I reverted back.. haha..

From the picture that when using Amcha rom I still can see my IMEI, so that means its not a corrupt efs?

lost my 3 years old s3 last month to a wall. now back on using my legendary nokia 3100. T_T...

dead lcd is damm painful. rm380 to repair. koyakkkkkk


maybe gonna get redmi 3s if it ever get lauch here. cant afford samsung anymore. low budget will only get me horrible spec on samsung or any other big brand.


one thing for sure. s3 is super awesome with active dev support.

During aroma installation did tick "backup EFS" ?
If yes then you can restore back via twrp.
Since now assuming that you are using CM rom - I guess the EFS is missing confirmed

Yes I did backup during aroma, so now I have a file name efs_30Aug2016-2256.tat.gz . How to restore? TWRP restore seems cannot find it.

In twrp try it by clicking mount button and search for that EFS folder
