Land not free. Kontena vs bricks on a similar footprint the cost won't be much different.

Plus it should be impossible to get approval from authorities left and right. TNB will probably not approve, water also difficult and don't forget majlis perbandaran's rules on structural integrity. Impossible la bro.

Primarily it is the easy in known structural integrity and movability I guess. Plus build time would be far less than an equivalent brick and mortar house.

I live in these things when I'm at work. We call them "Dongas". The primary concern when it comes to these structures is that them being metal, there is a "touch potential" hazard when it comes to electricity, but it is nothing that a competent engineer could not compensate for with a few good GND stakes and welded tails.

now that's something new

TS, u should consider naming your humble loft "The Donga"

it sounds so exclusive just like The Datai at Langkawai  tongue.gif

That's how OnG builds mega 500 man camps in less than 3 weeks. Just lay the concrete base, drop the dongas onto them, do small work like wiring them up and putting up wifi so we can surf udang and tadaaa! Farkin done!

The cleaner sure complen if we do that and ban us from the camp lol.

Either way, the rooms are cleaned and the towels changed twice a week by the cleaning staff. Plus each room has one bathroom, so if you wan shoot aeroplane, can do so in privacy.

refer to faraday's law about living in box

The Faraday cage doesn't apply there exists a touch potential of sufficient difference and current, it also assumes you've grounded the container properly. That's why you should get a proper electrical eng to do the numbers and spec your grounding requirements before you supply any power to it.

But if you aren't supplying power to it, no issues.
