I hav subscribe maxis broadband at pc fair on sunday. The speed is excellent except for p2p. So do i get a week or a month of trial? I'm thinking of unsubscribed it

I just connect the modem to PC. Connect power to modem and turn on the switch at the back of modem. After that, just wait for it to connect. Look for the RSSI light. If the light is on, its connected. Maybe u can look at the status of connection in the browser. Run cmd and type ipconfig. Paste the default gateway num in ur browser. It should show the status.

Anyone know is there 30 days trial for applying it during pc fair? I'm not gonna stuck with maxis for a whole year+

So did they refund the RM100 activation fee? Klcc maxis centre is open in weekend also right? If not no way i got time to cancel it.. So i'm gonna download like hell these few days.

No p2p to me even midnight after 1am. But strangely i open my bt when i go to work at 7am and set to off my com around 12pm and when i'm back, i download about 100mb.

Yup, and i ask at mid valley and the sales guy tell me its no trial period. U sign it, u're doom for 18 month. I ask him if he's sure and he think bout a sec and tell me he's sure. Wonder why???

Yes you can. I'm using a router too. But expect the speed to drop a bit. Last time 150k-180k/s, now 120k/s max. Using Dlink 604 router. Config is easy, just plug every cable into the 4port or 8port depending on ur router. Do not connect to the WAN port, tried but didnt work.

I got Edge connection tonight, wat happened? I subscribed for 768package, the slowest is also UMTS. Anyway, gotta sleep. Hope they're not blocking those heavy downloader

I subscibed it during pc fair too. Invoiced balance is 70++. Its ok considering 20+ days use and 5% tax.

Sometimes their DNS server might be down. This happen to me once, so i change DNS server to OpenDNS and problem solved. But monday i think, when i'm connected to HSDPA, nothing can be loads, not DNS problem. Just dunno why, but it works after few hours later.

My Maxis wireless 768 speed seems to be deteriorating day by day. When i first subscribe it, it can reach 170kB/s. Now only max 110kB/s.

And they seems to change to 3 type of packages now. Now mine is power package. Wonder how can i get the modem show on their page. it looks really nice. And the power package shows can reach 3.6Mbps, which means 400kB/s. Now my speed is only a quarter of it.

What is ur speed guys?

According to maxis when i first apply, 768kbps is the minimum speed it can achieved. Max is 1.5mbps. I think they changed the rule. Now the service is on best effort basis as shown on the web.. Feel like getting cheated.

Anyway, did anyone get to use the maxis broadband mail? When i access it, it shows
"You have not activated your mail box. Please activate before login again"
