itemise billing can be disabled.

Added on February 5, 2007, 9:14 pmwufei. ur bill looks correct. ur monthly usage is pro-rated.

remember to argue this:

- is ur installation date same as billing date?
installation date shud be much later than the billing date so can save some ringgits.

the reason is that they need to create an account (bill) to start the installation procedure. but this also cause different installation vs billing date.

just calculate urself.

rm 68 x days of use /30

either u stop on the first month, or stop on the 18 month. no in between.

same like tmnet lar.. either lock in for 12 or 24 month.

if u terminate early, u need to pay eventhough u not using.

Added on February 7, 2007, 9:09 pmcloud, if u cannot go certain site/download u can always use proxy.
refer to previos 1 or 2 pages for instruction.

itemised billing can be unsubscribed. save u rm5 per month.

modem to be returned to maxis center at ttdi, taipan, klcc etc.

today 3g got problem since morning. switch to edge to surf.. slow lar.

installation fee waived?? thats so unfair. lets complain to maxis! ask to waive for all! we are the pioneer after all. the ones who take chances!

According to the maxis guys, can pay online. look at behind the bill (2nd page) got instructions. can use citibank.

nicvo, which floor u are in dataran mentari? above 5 floor no hsdpa. but got 3g (384k)

If possible, point ur modem antenna towards sumit (the transmitter is near there, specifically subang industrial park)

make sure in the modem network selection, choose 'umts prefered'

got 1 day whole day (feb 9) maxis 3g all down. up again the next day.

if u have maxis 3g phone, check for signal strength at ur place. if got signal, then the maxis bb will sure work.

Added on February 13, 2007, 8:53 amThe next time u get silly answers from the maxis operator, jot down his/her name.

Added on February 13, 2007, 8:55 amCan anyone confirm that now the installation fee is waived? RM88

If so, everybody start callling maxis to waive too.

opps my bad. its not umts. its wcdma.

its because of the transmitter antenna design. they shoots downwards on the stations to flood the low raise building. this way the signal is more powerful, but lose the users on higher floor.

maybe try to put a cut out milotin and attach it to the antenna to try. like those people who mod their wifi gear. maybe a can-tenna will fix the problem.

u will need to disconnect first, then u can unlock the network choice.

I think the tin-tenna are quite easy to make. those in bad reception shud seriously think about it. for me, my reception got no problem so no point testing it. I think the case is that u need to know where u r pointing it to.

for puchong its tesco
for subang its industrial park subang (near sumit)

lousyqq, have u tried the maxisbb card on ur maxis3g datacard?
when are u going back to kuching? kuching dunno got celcom 3g or not

1089 is the penalty charge for 'trying' for more than 30 days.

remember that u got 18 month contract.
there are no penalty for over 3gb.

probably u dont have to pay that amount. be reasonable with them, and tell them that u terminated within the trial period.
just argue with them about the installation date vs billing date.

Added on February 16, 2007, 2:53 amif between installation date and return date >30 days.. too bad..

just to cancel ur cancellation... continue to use loh..

guys. if u are facing slow browsing after awhile of using, it might be caused by overheating.

my modem become hot pan when on for few hours. then i reaslise its a stupid design of battery charger. the battery charger does not turn off even after complete charge. thats y so hot.

just disconnect the battery connector, and my problem solved.

that port can plug in samsung cable.

the maxis people use that to flash firmware.

whatever class also nevermind...thats based on how many user they target.
everyone is on one big maxis LAN now.

Added on August 22, 2007, 4:03 pmmaxis latest modem now can display RSSI!! finally they listen to all our grouses and did somehting.

Added on August 22, 2007, 4:05 pmif not mistaken... the router box cannot limit the time we can BT. instead, they will do it on the server side, very much like streamyx.

it will be too much hassle to update people's modem OTA.

havent explore into this. but i suppose 85 is good, as i am getting somewhere there also, and i have good speed.

my problem with maxis is not reception..but over-crowded (subang area)
as i know, one bts can only support a handful of users, but my area i think got too many users.

Added on August 22, 2007, 5:07 pmyup yup thats the latest modem screen
