QUOTE(nikrizal @ Nov 21 2014, 06:24 PM) I never charged my phone for 8 hours since the replacement of Ni-Mh battery with Li-polymer battery. I believe you can charge anytime, maybe a complete discharge once a month. There's no official guide from apple on calibrating battery on iPhones but the do have guide for Macbooks. You could probably use the same method on your phone. I did that with my iPhone 4 previously. http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201575

QUOTE(yukihatsu @ Nov 27 2014, 02:00 PM) What is it about iOS that is very 'closed' and how does it affect the way you use your phone? Usually, techies or devs like "open" systems for them to tinker with. These are all tech talks basically and usually muggles doesn't understand its significance. Depending of what type of consumer you are, it may or may not be a + point for you. Having said that, I reckon it doesn't affect the majority of the owners.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 27 2014, 12:39 PM) I have both Note4 n ip6+ Personally I find Note4 is a way much better phone. The SPen is only additional advantage Ip6+ adcantages is its greater battery life n slight better audio quality n sunlight viewing As a business orientated phone ip6+ fail big time I had tried using the ip6+ as main phone for more than 3 weeks but it just dissapoint me vs Note4. So it is now my secondary phone Gaming is probably better in ip6 but I don't play games on my phones except Scrabble Time and time again there bound to be comparisons between iPhone and other phones of the same range. Android fanboys will find 1000 reasons why iPhone sucks and apple fanboys will do the same. And some people owning both will find iPhone is better compare to Note4 and some people find Note4 is better than iPhone. One thing that could be observed from all these debates is that, "This phone is better because it works for me". A phone that works for you doesn't necessarily works for other ppl and vice versa. Other ppl say that your phone sucks because it doesn't work for them but you find it great because it suits your needs. Both Note4 and iPhone has their own different strengths and both are good phone. So, get the one(or whatever) that works for you!

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 27 2014, 02:49 PM) Please do take note that this is a "DISCUSSION" thread on the Iphone 6 and 6 Plus. So any discussion and comments be it positive or negative must be taken and viewed in good terms. Its a free world and everyone is entitled to their own personal opinions and views and we should not be biased againts any comments posted by forummers here whether it is positive or negative. We need all types of reviews and opinions to make this forum worthwhile. Think about it. Yes indeed! And it's also easy for people to lose their head in discussion like this. I get the impression that it was about to steer towards to that direction, hence my comment.

QUOTE(KaiHD @ Nov 28 2014, 02:05 AM) I can AirDrop from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro just fine, but not the other way round. Both detect each other ok, but where the iPhone manages to send the file ok the Mac gets stuck on sending stage. If I recall correctly this happened during the Yosemite betas too with iOS 8.0. I was on iPhone 6 and 5s that time. P.S. I'm very annoyed at Safari right now. It keeps crashing whenever I try to type something after iOS suggests a keyboard shortcut. Thing is, it doesn't happen most of the time but I can recognise a pattern when it does. And it only happens in Safari, and only inside forum text boxes. Tried with this site and with Apple Insider and managed to reproduce it. So it's either a Safari bug or crappy coding in the site's HTML or whatever. My iPhone 6 & MacBook still can't see each other. I've no problems with safari and chrome though and in fact, I'm posting this from safari on my iPhone 6 with most words from word suggestions.

QUOTE(yukihatsu @ Nov 28 2014, 12:30 PM) Only Macs that are released in 2012 and after officially support AirDrop/Handoff/Continuity. For older Macs you need to enable it using this: https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool/Aha!..Seems that my Mac only supports AirDrop to other Macs but not iPhone unless it's 2012 models or later. Now I get it.

QUOTE(keropi88 @ Dec 1 2014, 10:19 AM) and guys, from you all ordered and paid for the phone online, how long it takes to deliver to you ? it say delivery time 3-5 days, but they can be in processing for years then only deliver right ... Getting an iPhone 6?The delivery time includes processing time. It means that you'll get your phone within 3-5 days. If you bought it in Singapore, and if there are any warranty claims, you probably need to send it back to where you bought it from. No such restriction if you buy online. Just send it back to them by mail and they'll send one immediately to you. You'll be surprised on how efficient the Apple Online store is. Also, the exchange rate nowadays are not really that good. QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Dec 4 2014, 12:40 PM) Red sale? When is this gonna happen? Plan to buy from Apple store too, grew tired of waiting too usually before a week before CNY. Just go ahead and buy from Apple Online store. No real good reason to buy from local telcos unless you want to take advantage of their phone contract. You'll be surprised on the efficiency.
