Yes. You are almost perfectly 100% right. Claiming warranty in Malaysia is always in the grey area. this is because malaysia is not a distribution hub. All the returned devices will be sent to Singapore for replacement. Last time telcos used to keep high volume of refurbished set for warranty purposes but now it seems they will refer the claim to service centre in respective states.

sp breaks.. the underneath still ok but the side crack too... this happened in Taiwan. and guess what, no 3rd party replacement parts due to curved screen. die die need to go back apple which cost a bomb... not sure if the owner going to send it back or not..

If using full coverage with good fitting (not even saying perfect fitting), it probably save the actual screen. The most u break the sp only.
