QUOTE(attw @ Nov 15 2014, 04:11 PM) Ya, my usage pattern is usually unplug from charge when I wake up @ 6am and then charge at home before I call it a day, also at about 11 or 11.30pm. Problem is being in sales I'm usually not in the office most of the time, so searching frantically for a power plug while I'm out is not an option, and I dunno how true about in car chargers shortening the lifespan of the phone battery, so it's something I try to avoid. Advisable to not charge your phone using car chargers for too long. Look for a good powerbank is a better option |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 15 2014, 11:54 AM) Finally have time to set up my 6 plus which I received earlier. First impression coming from 5S, not as smooth response and its huge. Battery life feels damn good as well! Next up is why Apple didn't introduce the iPad gestures here 😝 can avoid using the the TouchID much avoiding wear and tear without a floating ball around. Pretty much everyone agree on the performance part. Sometime I open too much tab it even say webpage not responsive and need to be reload. |

Story from my friend scares me. His iPhone 5S got fried using car charger. Branded one too. I believe he was using a Belkin USB car charger. Maybe have to consider a power bank for 6 Plus too?!?!Probably the output for the car battery sometimes fluctuates and with such high wattage, it might cause power surges. I'm no engineer, can someone verify? QUOTE(attw @ Nov 15 2014, 04:31 PM) http://www.gsmarena.com/iphone_6_is_sellin...-news-10216.php My work-related says that previous production output was 70% (6) vs 30% (6 Plus). According to the article, it's supposed to be adjusted to 55:45. Then why can't we find the stocks of iPhone 6 Plus here? Probably shortage in the market for the Plus due to that. Too bad I'm not able to find official sources in my research. |

QUOTE(kamikraze @ Nov 15 2014, 05:51 PM) This is how modern lithium batteries work. It doesn't like extremes (over-charged or over-discharged). Don't wait until it's 0 or below 10%, charge or top-up when you have the chance.Don't just take my words for it. If u keep charging it when u have the chance, u will reduce the life span of the battery... It's proven for me as my bro and I bought iPhone 5 at the same date and after a year, mine can still last longer than his simply becos I don't apply the method u mentioned above |

It's number of full charge. E.g. you charge at 50% to 100% twice, that's 1 charge cycle.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charge_cycle And believe it or not, deep discharge has more damage than shallow charge. You should only drain battery to 0% for re-calibration purpose. This post has been edited by da3shou3: Nov 15 2014, 06:20 PM |
