basically what i want to achieve is at the end of the lesson or class, i wish to able to read music, read the rhythm and play, improvisation and able to play the song what i listen (if possible).

I more interested in Rock and Metal.

but still open to anything as long as it help me achieve above.

my experience is this

1. good 1 to 1 lessons are expensive,
2. not soo good 1 to 1 lessons are ok ok
3. class lessons are cheap but more towards the class

if you are looking at improv, how to use scales, chord prog, then 1. I've known 2 teachers thats great, jaya who i think doesnt teach anymore and az, which is way above your budget. these you are looking at 150 and above per class, az goes for 180.

a lot of other places I've been they show u scale, then u play till cows come home. those are cheaper about 150-300 per month of a few classes

if you are talking about application, you might want to check some of my lessons in my siggy.

Do u jam or play with other people/ friends? Can learn a lot from those especially good players by watching or asking.
