My rig spec :
AMD64 2800+ Clawhammer (s754) Asus K8V SE Deluxe Apacer 512MB DDR400 ATI Radeon 9600XT
Ok...my rig was previously running at stock speed thats 1.8Ghz So i tried to play with the BIOS settings yesterday nite, changed the FSB default was 200mhz... Changed to max i tried and able to bootup is 240mhz...So the proc speed is now above 2Ghz now..
The question is.... What is the Vcore voltage should i use? currently im using 1.750 Anything else can do to OC until max FSB 300? I found out the RAM speed increased to DDR240 (following the FSB value), anything else can OC ram? RAM voltage default 2.5 now im using 2.6

Btw....After OCing, my rig will occasionally BSOD... Does that means its overheat or insufficient power supply? Im using lousy Icute PSU 320W or 420W cant remember...

QUOTE(imperialrealcs @ Sep 15 2006, 10:19 AM) seems like ur ram is those valueram.. get a HYNIX D43 at least.. the bsod most prolly caused by ur ram.. try increasing the voltage to 2.8 n c u can try 2.7 1st if afraid.. n btw, what power supply are u using? But the RAM voltage can only select 2.5 or 2.6 Using Icute psu...

QUOTE(imperialrealcs @ Sep 15 2006, 10:24 AM) huh? 2.6 only? maybe board capability limit u.. my barton set vcore 1.75 vdimm 2.8 multiplier 11.5 * 200FSB = 2.3Ghz think u better change psu before overclocking.. u dun want ur stuff to get fried My multiplier stays at x9.0, can change it?

QUOTE(x800 @ Sep 15 2006, 10:29 AM) then if there's no higher ram voltage setting, i suggest u use a divider to keep the ram speed at a speed which wont cause BSOD, and then u can increase ur fsb to clock the cpu higher.u also need to lower the htt multipler one notch.mind u,u're psu is...err...i dunno how to say it.. Hehehe yeah my PSU is super duper lousy one...i didnt expect to OC.. How to use divider? What means lower the htt multiplier? The RAM thingy or the proc HT thingy?

QUOTE(x800 @ Sep 15 2006, 10:40 AM) the divider setting is in the bios, and so is the htt multiplier.the htt multiplier is not the cpu multiplier..hurm, maybe it'll be easier if u can tell us the settings available in ur bios.. I at office ler... Like that need to wait until 2moro le...2nite going BBQ yay Need to bootup two pc liao...
