Thanks ozak! Have you tried this before? Do you have a recommended brand that is good for this?

Hmm....which also means I've got to start looking for an electrician again.          smile.gif

Nope. Stay own house la. No argue aircon usage with my wife. biggrin.gif

Everything in the link already. ABB is a damn good brand. Just show this to the electrician. If he don't know, knock his head. tongue.gif

This device is the most simple and easy to install.

Hmm.....i can't seem to get hold of this ABB company. No one is answering the phone. Sigh....

I wonder if there's any retail outlet or online portals selling this product.

Maybe you can look for ABB distributor. Some electrical shop.

Not neccessary to look for abb brand. Maybe got other brand. Just show them this type of device.

Hi ozak,

Question - I assume that current usage by room occupant is on separate db fuse? No two electrical outlet is shared otherwise would be hard to differentiate how much each one has used?

Kitchen usage could be shared but it would be disadvantageous if one use kitchen electrical appliance more than the other. Those who don't have to share that burden. Same goes with electric water heater.

Yes, those common sharing appliance is impossible to measure. The owner have to set the rule, all pay same amount no matter use less or more. Once broken, everyone share to pay. No finger point.

For TS case, he already separate the wiring each for the aircon for every room. That would be easy to instal this measure device. Just put beside the aircon mcb. No need separate db box. So if have 3aircon for each room, require 3 meter for 3 mcb.

If 1 to everything no sharing, than the owner got to renovate to ikea small room style. 2-3mcb separate for each room. And with this measure device each. Everything still can put inside the same db.
