wow, very good! i think all these 3 categories (departmental, hypermarket, dining) surely applicable to most people, 20% cb somemore! but why i didn't receive this sms. cry.gif

as usual i believe there's an allocation for this promo. so need to check the t&c for more detail.

Made a purchase of RM450 on Feb 16, 2015 0:05am at Tesco early this morning - purposely waited a couple of minutes pass midnight to make the purchase in case there is time gaps in UOB system.

Hope to get the 20% rebate. If this still miss the RM30,000 cap, then I have no ideas how to get the rebate from UOB under this promotion!

Pumped RM31 on the 14th Feb 12.03am. Will see whether can get the rebate or not. Normally I only pump on the 11th. If don't have, I seriously considering to cancel the card already.  vmad.gif  mad.gif

I pumped on both Feb 16 and Feb 17 (2 different cars), and based on Feb statement, looks like still receive 5% rebate for Feb 16 transaction but not Feb 17's.

i don't believe if yours 8:13am on 16/2 was not in the list. i also swiped on 16/2 but not in the list too. sounds like they are going to skip one or two weeks cash prizes with lame excuses!
*
I swiped mine @ 12:05am on 16/2, and have not received the rebate as well. Will call them later today to find out.

Just called them and was informed that I wasn't in the list, but customer service rep said he will file a report (report # is given) to further investigate this case.

Update : I called them earlier this week to check my week 5 rebate status. At first they told me that I'm not in the winner list. I mentioned I doubt that there are > 300 registered users swiped their card in < 5 mins of Week 5 campaign start to finish the RM30,000 weekly quota, they then agree to open a report to investigate. Got a call from UOB just now to update the investigate result - I'm qualified for 20% rebate for week 5 and will get the rebate in ~ 2 weeks time.

Don't understand how they classify tier 1 vs tier 2. Assuming it is within the cap limit
- Spend upto RM500 (per transaction?), get 10% cash rebates
- Spend upto RM3000 (per transaction), get 30% cash rebates

Does it mean that
- if I charge RM500, it is on tier-1 and I get 10% (i.e. RM50) cash rebate
- if I charge RM600, it moved to tier-2 and I get 30% (i.e. RM180) cash rebate

what i understand from tnc http://www1.uob.com.my/assets/pdf/tnc/30pe...0415_tnceng.pdf

1 to 2999, 10% cb, capped at RM50 max
3000 above, 30%cb, capped at RM900 max
*
Based on this logic, then you either get RM50 or RM300 case rebate, nothing in between.

If need to spend RM3000 and above only to qualify for 30% cash rebate, then it also means that need to spend a minimum of RM500 to qualify 10% cash rebates, and the only rebate that they will pay out is RM50 since it is capped at RM50 for tier-1 even if you spend RM2,999.99.

So it means:

RM500.00 to RM2,999.99 : Tier-1 spending 10% cash back and cap at RM50
RM3,000.00 and above : Tier-2 spending 30% cash back and cap at RM900

Called UOB just now to clarify on Tier-1 vs Tier-2 eligibility but throwing some questions (such as transactions of RM499.95, RM501, RM2999), the customer service person was giving conflicting answers, even after getting back to her superior. She took my number and promised to find out the answer and get back to me today. Let's see if she get back and what the answers for all my inquiries.

Update:
Just received a call from UOB call center to provide update me to my inquiries

1) Less than RM3000.00 : qualify for Tier-1 only and cap at RM50
2) RM3000.00 and above : qualify for both Tier-1 and Tier-2
- If you are the first 30 customers (RM27,000 weekly quota, RM900 max/customer), you get RM900 cash back regardless of your actual amount spent, since limit is RM900, which is the 30% of RM3000.
- if you are not the first 30 customers, and there still balance available from the 10% weekly quota of RM13,000, the you are qualified for 10% cash back and get RM50 (which is the cap/customer for Tier 1).

Received a SMS from UOB yesterday congratulating me on winning the Nescafe Dolce Gusto Coffee machine promotion (RM20k spending) for month 2. However have no specific plans on using it yet. Anybody knows where to buy the capsule in Penang?

Did u swipe the card and spent with min accumulative spending amount? This round is RM20000 for a month.
*
For my case - I need to pay for my father's medical bill of ~ RM40k at IJN for his ICD replacement, and it was on the 5th day of month 2 - so was pretty confident to be the 1st 150 for month 2. I just swiped exactly RM20k using my UOB One platinum card, and the balance on other card.

Could have won 2 coffee machines if the rules allowed tongue.gif

Based on T&C, u might win 1 unit only

There are a total of four hundred fifty (450) Prizes to be given away throughout the Campaign Period. The first one hundred fifty (150) winners who meet the Qualifying Criteria as stated in Clause 10 above in each Participating Month will win the Prize (“Winners”). The Prizes will be awarded on a first-come-first served basis. Each Cardmember is only entitled to win One (1) Prize throughout the Campaign Period.

I know, only 1 prize per person, that's why I mentioned "if the rules allowed"

anyone can explain to me how the latest cash rebate for petrol work?
let's say in total per month, i pump rm400 on weekends, rm300 on weekdays..
how much cash rebate am i getting?

i noticed they have rm30 cap and rm500...?
5% of rm400 = rm20
2% of rm300 = rm6

am i getting rm26 or lesser due to the rm500..?
*
I might be wrong, but if I understanding it correctly, this is how it works.

Depends on your card type (One or Platinum, cap at RM300 and RM500 respectively)
- only your first RM300 or RM500 spending on petrol earn cash rebate
- if you swipe on weekdays, you get 2% rebate
- if you swipe on weekend, you get 5% rebate

Assuming you have the One card which cap at RM300, and your spending is as follow

Swipe # Amount When Rebate
1. RM50 Weekday 2% = RM1.00
2. RM100 Weekday 2% = RM2.00
3. RM50 Weekend 5% = RM2.50
4. RM100 Weekday 2% = RM2.00
5. RM100 Weekend 0% = RM0.00 (exceeded cap of RM300)
6. RM100 Weekday 0% = RM0.00 (exceeded cap of RM300)

S0, you get RM7.50 cash rebate from the 1st RM300 spending on petrol (vs max of RM15.00 if all spending on weekend)
