I doubt that.
In order to get access to UOB Online (internet banking), you need the PIN. UOB practice is they won't send you the PIN. You need to request the PIN at the branch or fax/fill in some forms. I don't think they also accept PIN request via CS in phone.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

QUOTE(ck0403my @ Nov 17 2014, 06:14 PM) hi, 0% interest installment plan only applicable to merchants listed in UOB website? Usually that's the case. Partnership between the bank and the merchants.

QUOTE(arthur88 @ Dec 2 2014, 09:03 AM) called customer service to request card cancellation last week, just now i try to login to see my statement, but unable to do so. all outstanding has been cleared, but it has become my habit to login and check 2,3 days once. as some forumer mentioned, card will be blocked from usage, but unable to view statement online? this is the normal practice? I think it's normal practice. I experienced it with OCBC Ti.

Called CS just now and confirmed that GST has been charged on November 18th, 2014. Asked for waiver but failed and therefore, proceed for card cancellation.
Also noticed that I was an overpayment and SmartCash that I have no chance to redeem.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 3 2014, 09:53 AM) how much is your overpayment + smart$? if more than rm50, then can just use the money first and pay the gst, then only proceed for cancellation. if can't cancel also doesn't matter since it's already extended for another year (indirectly) by doing this. Overpayment + Smart$ sure can cover GST. Already submitted for cancelled. Card suspended. Wait for arbitration department to call and confirm.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 3 2014, 10:44 AM) but since you still have overpayment there, maybe they have to refund you the balance before terminating your cc. if they don't, perhaps high chances that they will offer to retain you as their customer. The CS said that they may issue me a cheque.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 3 2014, 09:33 PM) no need if you do not have any transaction after the gst charged and provided you are not talking about 1st year gst. Well Citibank is quite smart in handling GST and AF. Based on my expeirence, CBB doesn't charge both on the same month. They charge GST on the anniversary month and AF on the following month after the GST month. If you choose to pay the GST, then you have the urge to use the card till next year but once AF is charged on the following month and not waivable, you will run into emotion of cancelling the CC since AF is usually higher than GST. You have forgotten that you have already paid for the GST. Just my two cents. This post has been edited by David83: Dec 3 2014, 09:39 PM

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 3 2014, 09:51 PM) that's why for a cc with af, we should only choose to continue with the cc that you can afford to pay the af, or the cc that the benefits can cover back the af. Nevermind won't fall for the similar trap again. Already cancel Citibank CBP once AF charged even though GST paid. That card is no longer in the CCRIS record.

QUOTE(topearn @ Dec 7 2014, 10:24 AM) Sure or not ? Last time pump petrol in all petrol stations (Shell, Esso, Petron, etc) all enjoy 5% rebate subject to RM900K cap per mth. Now only pump in BHP got rebate ? http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/promotions...ard_051214.html1) 5% rebate to any petrol brand subject to RM 900k quota monthly and your card level monthly quota (RM 25 for ONE Platinum, RM 15 for ONE Classic). 2) 3% Smart$ on weekends at BHP petrol only. If and only if, you choose to pump at BHP, you'll get 5% (quota not exhausted) + 3% Smart$ on weekends (subject to RM 12 quota per month till 31 January 2015). The T&C is so complicated. So UOB! QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 7 2014, 10:48 AM) yeah, basically the difference between weekdays and weekends is just the 1% extra on smart$. Personally, I would say not a worth even though I usually refill my tank on Fridays to Sundays because of other CCs on-hand.
